lol, see what I mean? I’m sure you’re not the only one who thinks they have a regular MMJ33 when they’re actually sitting on an SRX. Congrats.

Edit: I’d frisbee that POS across the lawn!

45s at $99 on regular vinyl would move the market significantly, so I would very much not like to see that.

you know what, i hope they do. Ill save so much money. And when the (full blown) recession hits and people cant afford to buy them, greedy companies will be stuck.

Did anyone pickup an extra Orange Tom Cat? I’d be interested in buying or trading. Let me know.

Yes, you’re probably right but I just don’t think MMJ can realize the same cost structure as AP or MOFI and their price for a 2xLP with Stoughton jacket will have to somewhat inflated. Guess we’ll see.

As a previous owner of a Benz Micro Wood M2( which the Micro-Benz M 09 0 M090 probably sounds close to) who upgraded to an LP-S, maybe it's time for you to consider the same? No offense sir.

I’ve got at least a dozen cartridges, dude. I’m almost as bad with them as I am with vinyl. Benz, Grado, Nagaoka, Orotofon, Shure, several ATs….

But what is your point? I need to spend another 2k on yet another cartridge to achieve what, exactly?

You don't need to spend jack ....But to squeeze that last bit of sonics out of a Benz cartridge. Grab that Benz brass ring. But you don't need to.

I'm not really cereal. But it might make a difference.

Hopefully no one will license product to them (if they want to charge such prices)

We've moved on. Labels can release do Audiophile releases in house (Tone Poet/BNC/Verve AS/etc) with mass distribution.

Fair enough. I still don’t get what this has to do with the post of mine you quoted, but thanks for looking out.

In my less than knowledgeable brain I was thinking that maybe with a better cartridge you might hear a difference.

I meant well. Don't mind me!

As an aside (and certainly off-topic), I'd be curious as to what differences you hear between the two cartridges, and to what degree you hear in each area of the improvements?

I have done quite a bit of upgrading when it comes to the phono stages I use, and it's amazing how much more I get out of my Benz M2 as I have upgraded in that regard.

The Wood M2 is an amazing cartridge!

I've since sold my M2. I now have an LP-S on a Vertere Acoustics MG-1 table with a Rogue Ares Magnum phono preamp. I just bought a Townshend Audio Allegri Reference preamp that is soon on its way. I won't be able to compare the cartridges directly. But the Wood M2 was warm and accurate. Both have Boron cantilevers so I expect the LP-S to be more of the same but better and more accurate.

I will let you know how it sounds soon.

I believe MMJ is "open" to sell off their old stock (some of it upwards of 15 years old), otherwise, will remain dormant, and once inventory is gone, they'll close up shop for good. I think that was their plan anyhow,,,
