Encore in Ann Arbor is still an excellent place both to buy and sell.

I was here for the first time this past weekend.

Among other things, found a stereo pressing of Jack Scott's first Carlton album, with "STEREO" in felt letters along the side of the jacket. VG+, one of my grail items.

The thing that makes Dearborn Music seem unique these days is that they devote significant floor space to new releases as well as their large selection of used product. They have been responding to the times and devoting more space to used vinyl, but it still is an unusually balanced inventory.

I'm a big fan of Encore, too, though. I have an annual tradition of taking a vacation day around my birthday and going vinyl mining there.

A new record store in Ferndale, Found Sound, opens today!

    234 W. 9 Mile Rd.

Managed by Ray Hayosh, a fantastic guy and former employee of the old Roseville Record Time. (The little guy with the beard and glasses, for those that remember.)

Looking forward to checking this place out soon. :righton:

Cool! I'll be sure to check this one out. I'd go today but live bands and crowds don't make for pleasant crate digging.

Went there Saturday. Cool store with great potential but terrible lighting
kinda dark like a bar or club. Kinda silly if you ask me.
If you go bring your own light cause everything looks great in the dark.
