I have a couple of the Homestead and Scat records.I do like these.I am great for picking up punk and indie records from the late 70s and 80s by people I never heard of.I haven't played these in years.Kind of forgot about it.I had no idea Mark Edwards kept My Dad Is Dead going until 2011.[IMG]

This band is awesome, I totally love the whole Joy Division vibe gone indie feel and the lyrics are extremely emotional and meaningful which is hard to come by.

Great to hear they clicked with you, and welcome to the forum. I love the "Joy Division vibe gone indie" description!
I agree about his way with words. Many times it's quite a simple phrase or line, but it just cuts right through to the bone.

Just finishing up the Secular Joy album.....very good stuff. I read somewhere that it was proggy, but I didn't find that to be the case at all. More fleshed out, more sophisticated, but still pretty raw in places.
