------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Magnepan ....... now there is something I find intriguing. What model do you have? What made you choose that model [IF] other than price? Did you have to locate them much different than your regular speakers?
Chose the Maggie 1.7’s, wait time is 3 weeks so I expect them any day now. They will need plenty of room to breathe and that’s not a problem. Will be using Marantz PM-10S1 (200-watts) to drive those power hungry panels.
----------------------------------------------- Some of those names...... I think you made some of them up ! [not]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That quote - is only good for Frank Zappa
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Agreed.... Audio/Video needs to be disqualified. Not saying they are not quality products - just NOT Audio ONLY.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Added: Marantz SA-KI Ruby and an Audiotrak HD 2 channel soundcard to computer - this sound card is extreme for what it does.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- May I ask the size of the room you listen to music? I have Solid State equipment on one side with tube equipment on the other. I have very overstuffed furniture on each short side along with an set of speakers on each side. When I desire to listen to tube - I sit in the chair facing the speakers connected to tube equipment. When I listen to Solid State I sit in the other chair facing the speakers connected to Solid State. With multiple equipment of each type of equipment I use banana plugs to switch between amplifiers - each having their own speaker wire.
