New cartridge for Transrotor Dark Star

Hi everyone,

The MC Merlo of my Transrotor has been damaged and I'm now looking to get a new cartridge somewhere between 600 and 800 €. I found the Merlo a very good performer but it could use a little more punch I think in combination with my system.

My setup is the following:

- McIntosh MA 8000
- Transrotor Dark Star
- Transrotor SME 5009 arm
- B&W 803 D2 speakers

I've read a lot of good things about the Hana ML as well as the Nagaoka MP 300 and the Ortofon Black Quintet. The first two however, I don't find to match that well visually with the turntable and my McIntosh (they both have a lot of silver and I'm not sure I'm liking the combination with gold).

Do you guys have any experience with a similar setup? Any advice on cartridges that combine well with it would be very much appreciated.
