I wonder if the Record Plant concert was cleaned up. I had a recording of that and the quality was pretty poor.

What is the exact story with "Good Things (Come to Those Who Wait)" appearing on reel-to-reel? Was it a mistake, or was the reel-to-reel edition deliberately released with a different track list?

I saw the band live right before the Record Plant concert. Welch did a very similar rap about Paris, et al. He probably did it every night. There is a boot of that concert... Shrine Auditorium. But you might have the Record Plant show.

Most likely the reel to reel version was overlooked.

There was already the LP, cassette and 8-track tape versions so.....

Wow, I really don't like that she did that. So weird. But harmless.

It's been claimed earlier that "Stone" is a tune by Bob.

  13. Why? She’s in the band who first recorded the song. She sang a great version of it live and Mike Campbell played the killer guitar parts

    Wasn’t weird at all

Well she never played with Peter and their artistic ethoses seem worlds apart. But as I said, harmless. Not something I want to hear.

I've got Chris Bellman cut Bare Trees, Future Days, Then Play on and Kiln House - I bought them separately and those are still very cheap and sound great.
Does anybody knows if there's some new mastering done for those albums or is it gonna be the same mastering they used on the box and individual releases?

They couldn't have been ignoring it if they took the trouble to add one unique track.

One of the best discs from the big five box sets is the tour disc from the 1975 S/T box. I think it’s brilliant. I didn’t become really that aware of FMac until 1980 and the live album from that year was my introduction, which was also my introduction to Oh Well.

Those LPs are not in the new vinyl box. The only CD in the CD box that CB remastered is Then Play On. The other albums in the CD box were remastered by Justin Smith at WEA Studios, the live set was done by Inglot & Hersch at D2.

More like neglected to send a revised master to Bell & Howell/Magtec for open reel duplication.

Amazon has just dropped the price of the vinyl box set to $88.99 to compete with Popmarket, etc. Now might be a good time to pre-order if you haven’t already.

You have any better theories?

Steel Woole's explanation makes perfect sense here but it can also mean that someone WB/Reprise just plain overlooked the reel to reel format.

This German promo LP still had Good Things (at least on the label anyway.)

I have a Warner/Reprise 2-album set called “The Big Ball”. Track 2 on side 2 is listed as “Oh Well—Parts 1 & 2” in the liner notes. The actual album lists it as “Oh Well”. It is 1 track, not two separate tracks.
