Just heard that Butch has torn rotator cuff and heading to the IR list. Matt Walker of Moz and Pumpkins fame will drum on upcoming tour dates.

They were closing the main set with the pseudo title track earlier this summer, the excellent "Even Though Our Love is Doomed"!

Garbage is one of the few bands I want to see that I've never managed to see. Maybe next time. Hopefully...

They are a great live act. I saw their first two tours and the recent anniversary versions of those first two tours with all the non-album stuff and a couple of shows in between. Don't miss them!

Last year they said they'd be idle on the road in 2019 to record a new album - and then they decided to play a bunch of dates.

I think Shirley alluded to a new album at the May 2019 show I saw but I don't really remember.

I would still assume they plan to have a new album out in 2020. Dunno if Butch's injury will impact that, but wouldn't think it'd be a major impediment...

Right - at the October show last year in Oakland, Shirley mentioned that they had new songs and were working on a new album.

I haven't been fully keeping up with the news but hopefully that project is still on track and we'll have new Garbage music in the not too distant future!

We need a 2020 tour so I can keep my string intact.

    I've seen Garbage 5 years running - let's make it 6! :D

Thanks! My longest streak comes from the 2002-2009 run I had where I saw Springsteen every year over that span.

Coulda been even longer. I saw Bruce in 1999 and 2000 and tried to get a ticket to his 2001 holiday show but couldn't.

8 years in a row is good - 11 would've been even better!
