Three pages and you are the only person to post this?!? The verses are sung almost identical to Black Friday! Which begs the question: Is it stealing if the songwriter steals from himself?
I am interested to hear what the rest of the album sounds like. The leadoff single is OK, I appreciate that Mustaine is staying true to his speed metal roots and the song is very reminiscent to tracks off of "Peace Sells...". I just wish Mustaine would hire a drummer that does more than the stereotypical typewriter playing style. Makes me miss Nick Menza, Gar Samuelson and even Vinnie Colaiuta's playing styles that much more.
I like the cover - very spaghetti western. I think for once I’ll opt for the bare bones cd, not a Sammy Hagar fan at all.
It always bugs me when a new album appears and has extra tracks in different territories or exclusives for this or that store. Such bs. This time, though, the two extra tracks being covers, I can merrily go for the regular CD without that nagging feeling that I don't have the whole thing.
Right? My mom says I'm a pretty bright guy, but I couldn't figure out what was going on in the video. I didn't try very hard, but should you have to try very hard to get a music video?
I bet they take some heat for the little kid getting blown away. (Assuming that's his blood on the teddy bear.) But yeah, another great song. We still haven't heard the fastest one yet, "Dogs of Chernobyl." I hope they save that for the album...I want to be surprised!
Ehhh. I’m not a big fan of this one. Feels like these songs are just fast for the sake of being fast metal songs. I was hoping the second half would change it up a bit, but it doesn’t really. I get nothing out of this rapid fire riffing for modern Megadeth. It’s this one or two note thrashing for a while. It’s boring. I miss when Dave would write faster riffs with some interesting twists. And you don’t have to go back to 1990 to get them. The ending of Tears In A Vial is a good example. A nice, fast riff that changes it up and concludes the song wonderfully. The riffs on these new songs feel like they lack any real depth to them. The solos are okay. Usually melodic for a few seconds before tearing into faster territory. Nothing all that fascinating there either. I don’t know. I’m hoping for songs that don’t feel so cliché on the rest of the album.
That second single clicked with me on second listen. Good stuff and, just like with the first one, I really like the chorus. Looking forward to more.
just checked the Target listing and they have the track list as: Target Exclusive CD in jewel case with lenticular cover, 24-page booklet, and 2 bonus tracks. 1. The Sick, The Dying...And The Dead! 2. Life In Hell 3. Night Stalkers 4. Dogs Of Chernobyl 5. Sacrifice 6. Junkie 7. Psychopathy 8. Killing Time 9. Soldier On! 10. Célebutante 11. Mission To Mars 12. We'll Be Back 13. This Planet's On Fire (Burn In Hell)*** 14. The Conjuring (Live)*** ***Target Exclusive Track So even this version does not include the Dead Kennedys cover "Police Truck"
EMP in Europe has Take No Prisoners (Live) (Bonus Track) instead of The Conjuring (Live) However Police Truck is listed in the pre-order on ITunes here in the UK, but you have to buy the whole album to get it. HMV here in the UK claims to have 2 bonus tracks on the CD but does not state what they are
so it's just like Dystopia then.... Best Buy had some bonus tracks, but you had to get the Japanese version to get another bonus track. man, that's so annoying !
