Wings Vinyl Box is good! But does this mean that Archive Series die?

Are "Get on the Right Thing" and "Little Woman Love" Wings songs?

  6. I still think, like I posted long ago, that McCartney wants a vinyl box, especially since Harrison and Lennon did their full catalogue sets.

I'd be for a complete 70s box. That's good enough for me... for now.... He's had so many CD comps that I believe he'll jump on the Box set bandwagon. And yes I know there was already Pure and the individual releases of some of them.

@maccawings , would a straight vinyl reissue of Chaos & Creation excite you?

Great question as they were both recorded during the 'RAM' sessions prior to Denny Laine entering the mix. Before the actual band was formed for that matter. I still subconsciously consider 'RAM' to be a Wings album if only because a few songs from those sessions were included in the 'Wings Greatest' collection ("Another Day" and "Uncle Albert-Admiral Halsey"). One could also question whether or not "Wonderful Christmastime" is a Wings recording. It was recorded by Paul alone and was released under his name alone but in the video you see Wings performing it. Crazy!

They were released on Wings albums. RAM is not a Wings album. We could be pedantic about specific track credits, but if Denny L wasn't involved in making the album, it's not a Wings album. Same with Linda. Same with Paul. It's like Ringo and Paul calling Ringo's new album a Beatles album. Or calling McCartney a Beatles album.

Singing Too Many People in concert, McCartney usually said (as far as I know, and we all know he doesn't switch a word night-to-night :D) - "Here's one for the Wings fans." It was one for the Wings fans. I don't think he said "here's a Wings song!"

Maybe the songs Paul told that he and his family always sing at Christmas, unreleased Christmas songs

    Hmmm...

Does this mean 3 physical configurations of each of 8 different track lists?

(I'm just thinking out loud; I'm not expecting you to answer this until an official announcement is made).

Honestly, I do not collect vinyl anymore so anything vinyl related does not hold any excitement for me

    My guess:

    3 configurations

    1. Each album issued on its own on black vinyl.
    2. Full Box set of colored vinyl
    3. Each album as its own CD on Capitol. Non Archive release.
