None of the above are on this new set. Disc 4 is previously unreleased, save for two tracks that were on fan club releases only. My guess for the 2 fan club songs would be “You Wreck Me” & “You Don’t Know How It Feels”!
Odd though that when you read about the 9 LP set, they highlight the inclusions from the 9LP Super Deluxe set. Certificate of authenticity, litho etc. for $220. That doesn’t seem right? Or am I misreading?
I would love to buy the 9xLP indie store exclusive to help out my local record store, but if I order from the Petty store, I get the download included.
I bought the 5CD Super Deluxe. Downloaded the WAV and FLAC files for both tracks. I use JRiver Media Center and it reads all of the downloads as 44.1/16. WAV bitrates are 1411 and FLAC bitrates are 784 (TGA) and 751 (WF).
Ordered 9lp from bullmoose. Anyone else notice it says D2C? Does that mean “direct to consumer” and coming from distributor? Anyone preorder anything else with that D2C tag before?
Here is how I justified paying $150 for 5CDs vs. $50 for 4CDs. 1. Pretend the 4CD version doesn't exist. 2. That book we'll only look at once and put away? Well, just make an effort to look at it more. I no longer have a CD player in my car so whenever I'm spinning these discs at home, the book will be right there. 3. Compare it to the McCartney Flaming Pie set. That thing was about $230 and I wanted it to go down to about $150. It never did. Wildflowers is already $150 and it's a better deal. 5CDs that are at least an hour long each (Paul had two under 40-min) and Paul's 2CD version left only about 3-4 previously unreleased songs exclusive to the big box set. At first I thought it was a GREAT deal because the wording made it sound like you got 5CDs and 2LPs, but that has since been revised.
I love the PMAC series but the deluxe Box of Flaming Pie blows! I am so looking forward to this Wildflower Box.
The exception would be the “All the Rest” disc, which is only 1LP, so unlikely to be more than around 45 minutes. Below is me when my partner asks why we’re not buying the 4CD version!
Maybe the one thing Ryan is still working on related to this release is an Apple TV exclusive video Atmos mix of the album? Though not a huge fan of music in 5.1 other than DSOTM.
Cld the 5.1/atmos be the related project ryan was referring too?? Cuz that wld be a pretty big double dip...
If you order from the Petty website, you get an email with downloads right away. "There Goes Angela" and "Wildflowers" both Home Recordings. I don't do downloads or streaming, but they sent them since its included with the purchase.

Amazing that people have been paying hundreds for a CD pressed on vinyl. As soon as I heard the albums from the box I sold all of my originals because I knew I'd never go back to them again. I guess some people are more into collectibility than the sound of the music.
