Any other fans? Admittedly I only "dip my toes" into film/t.v, but I have to admit I found myself engrossed by some late night offerings from the BBC....any other fans/recommendations?

    Not a fan... yet.

There are many interesting titles I'd like to check out.

I think I'd start with Insomnia.

I am a big fan of the genre. “The Chestnut Man” and “Valhalla Murders” come immediately to mind.

I've enjoyed many of the TV series though 'noir', perhaps, has been a bit of a cover-all term.

The first season of Forbrydelsen is an astonishing piece of work. The other seasons not so much but still strong. Also check the Icelandic Trapped.

The Bridge (original Swedish/Danish version) is a must watch. One of the very best Nordic Noirs.

+1 for Trapped (Ófærð). Great setting, acting, direction, and score. Most of the great Icelandic actors are in it, a good introduction to them, especially Olafúr in the main role.
