Dewey Terry - Sweet as Spring

Dewey Terry was one part of the rock and roll duo Don & Dewey who released several singles on Art Rupe's Specialty label in the late 50s.
As a solo artist Dewey Terry released only one album in 1972: "Chief" on the Tumbleweed label out of Denver/Colorado.

Probably not obscure to those on this forum, but my go-to obscure 70s song would be "Dancing Madly Backwards" or "Raging River of Fear" from the first Captain Beyond album. Always results in a "Woah..." from those who hear it for the first time.

The artist isn't obscure, but I love Glen Campbell's recording of Randy Newman's "Marie" (a cut on the Rhinestone Cowboy LP, not released a single):

I’m really glad that someone else digs this. I have it on a 3-LP CBS sampler called The Music People.

"Ariel" by Dean Friedman - I always think of him & this song as a budget version of Billy Joel. :D

Without going through 18 pages and counting, there’s always this Walter Egan classic, with help from Stevie and Lindsay.
