I think you'll be happy with that or most any show - the ones I have are all really good in their own way, even the very first show. I heard that the sound on the LA show is bad so definitely avoid that. The last couple of shows (Chicago being one) had a story not in the list I posted earlier. That story is referred to as "Howard". The thing I like about the first show is the more innocent reference to Carlos the drummer.
By the way the scripts to the stories are all posted in the Residents fan forum so if anyone wants those let me know. Can't believe someone took the time to transcribe them.
Yet MORE proof that The Residents will always be ahead of their time: http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2010/05/21/what-idiot-designed-these-mascots/ What do 'space-suit' wearing Residents have to do with the Olympics???
Sucks to be poor; thank 'BOB' for the internet! Sooooooo, with every Euro-show up on the site, which one of THOSE is the best????
Can't say Lorrie didn't try. I think she had personal contact with a large percentage of her customers. Her husband dropped out of the biz so that they could make a living. Of course I'm sure they hope that the annoucement will prompt the sellout of items that have hung around for too long.
Hey Vince, what shows did you buy from Talking Light? Impressions? I noticed that Boston may be a good show since they added a song to that list. Set is otherwise similar to Philly.
Then I'd grab Boston. He Also Serves has got to be worth it alone as one American Show. The detail around the European shows and what was played hasn't been as good so can't help you there. With 4 shows I'm done myself.
What was the first track? "Born to Be Wild" sure reminds me of their early stuff. Noticed the comment on the blog that not only is Ralph closing but their going to limit output on RSD... all due to free downloads. I'd sure like to know where all these free things are because I've paid for everything except a few obscure or out of print things I found by luck.
Ralph's last hurrah! http://ralphamerica.com/ A good bunch of limited edition stuff is BACK UP! A little pricey, though.

Hope this has some artwork to it! Felt a little ripped off when I bought "The Ughs" & "Ten Little Piggies" and there was nothing but a sheet!
Yeah, but it..... mmmm, yeah. You're right. Haven't looked at them since I bought them. Guess I was in a bad frame of mind when they came out. Sorry.
I see that on the following day, there is a band called The Dead Kenny G's! Hilarious! What do they do; soft-jazz versions of Dead Kennedys songs?
The Dead Kenny G's has Skerik and Mike Dillon from Critters Buggin and I think they play with Les Claypool's various bands as well. Their type of jazz is a little harder and out there, but still very good.
