Yeah, that is too bad. Years ago I contacted "Mr. Skull" about the Residents buying the guitar. They likely passed due to things related to that stuff going on at the time. Ultimately, when I needed extra cash to put toward purchasing a home I listed it on eBay. The guitar was purchased for her by a very nice family. They sent me pics of her upon opening the case. I also had some contact with her and she was very nice. That said, family and business things can be pretty lame sometimes.
Late afternoon Sunday. Listening to Manual Of Errors. Have the original LP, red cover art. Playing T.E.C. Tones cd with bonus trks version. Blue artwork. lol. At anyrate, what a fantstic album! EVERY TRACK, bonus tracks included, is excellent.
...been a Snakey kind of morning. Played these so far- Snakefinger's Vestal Virgins –Night Of Desirable Objects Snakefinger – Manual Of Errors Greener Postures is next.
How's the sound quality on the violet vinyl compilation? I wouldn't mind getting one before they're gone, as long as it's doesn't just sound like a CD pressed on vinyl.
NP: Snakefinger's Vestal Virgins –Night Of Desirable Objects Label: T.E.C. Tones – 93532 Format: CD, Album, Reissue
I lived across the street (Sycamore) from Snakefinger for 20+ years in SF. I was aware who he was but we never spoke. Eric Drew Feldman lived catty corner from me also, I used to say hello to him. His apt had a sign in the transom window which said Beware Of Love. Later this changed to Beware Of Stove. Friendly, but a strange guy! The Vestal Virgins were crazy women, they used to have drunken fights in the middle of the street at 3 AM. I always suspected that the building Snakefinger lived in was where Vileness Fats was filmed and that the Residents had lived there at one time. One time they threw a bunch of random stuff on the sidewalk and I recognized some of the props and pieces of the sets. After Snakefinger died they had a huge party that lasted about two days. Could that had been the Snakey Wake? Or was that held in a club?

I became fascinated with Snakefinger's music after seeing the video for "The Man In The Dark Sedan", one of the coolest videos/songs ever.
