No. The summer here is very humid while the winter is bone dry.

I've a white Okki Nokki with the metal wand, Made in Germany and manufactured in 2010 according to the serial number on the back of the RCM. I bought mine in 2012, it's a real workhorse and is one of the best upgrades I've ever made. :righton:

Do you have the humidity percentage stats?

I'm really happy with my Okki Nokki. Took a bit of practice to find the right amount of solution to use. Another member here suggested to use a spray bottle to apply the solution. Sorry to whoever suggested that, I don't remember who you were, but it was a fantastic suggestion. I guess maybe I'm one of the lucky ones, but I don't have any static issues from vacuuming. I never do more than 2 rotations with the vac.

I first bought a Spin Clean, but was never really able to get the results I wanted. In some cases, the records sounded worse after cleaning. Maybe it was static from wiping them with the Spin Clean cloths, or maybe deposits left behind by the cleaner/distilled water, but regardless, never felt it was worth the effort except for really grubby thrift store finds that it couldn't make any worse. Cleaning with the Okki Nokki produces a very noticeable, positive improvement.

If you lack humidity and have issues with static, why don't you just use a humidifier?

Looks like it can range from 47 in winter to 84 in summer.

    That was my suggestion.

47 is more than enough. 50% is the perfect zone, you have no dryness problems. Try sub 20% and I guarantee youll get some static issues.

I'll have to pass on the 20%....lol

It's dry enough here in winter that wood can shrink up to a quarter inch.

Seems to me if a person was having an issue with static and a vacuum record cleaner in the winter...it would not matter which brand they using.

The Okki Nokki. You refuted my comment about humidity levels being an issue with other brands of vacuum cleaners (not just Okki Nokki), so what else have you used that has caused this static issue?

I took your reply wrong. However, to others in this thread who are considering a product from Okki Nokki, your reply about static when using their products makes it sound like you are singling them out...when in fact what you mean (in your situation) is vacuum record cleaners in general.

Does anybody knows when the new model will be available?
It has been sold out here in Denmark for some time now.

The Okki Nokki ONE is not out of stock, so much as not yet in stock!

The Okki Nokki ONE, to which I referred, is the new model.
    PRODUCTS

Admittedly that is an odd name as it is not their first product, but that is what they call it.

Lots of sites are showing it as being 'out of stock' but as it has not yet been released, and I have yet to see a definitive date, I was simply making the point that it is 'not yet in stock': i.e. it has not yet been released.

I also understand that stocks of the old Okki Nokki machine are now exhausted so that will be showing as 'out of stock', but will presumably not come back 'in stock'.

This caught my attention: "all-in-one vacuum arm 12 inch / 10 inch / 7 inch"
I would like to see more details/video on this. :)

Really curious about the new Okki Nokki ONE, it would be great see a working video, explained how works.
Also the new design of the normal looks way better than the old ones.
