These liner notes set a new, higher standard for the rest of the deluxe editions. Leaps and bounds beyond what they did for Physical.
All they really had to do for Physical was to reprint that in depth article on the album that’s been posted on here several times.
The liner notes were written around the same time as her intro, so either she never read the liner notes, or she did and just didn't care about the f-bomb or thought it amusing and left it intact without comment. I"d actually like to think the later.
I just saw on my twitter feed an official announcement of Greatest Hits for 10/21 from Olivia’s official twitter with links to pre-order… It’s official!
The Japanese set also includes a mini poster that is similar to the US Target Vinyl release-- Olivia through the years.
Does this BBC version of Xandau have an alternate ending or something? LOL (Sorry, my power's just come back on after 4+ days and I'm feeling zany to get back online.) I really hope that TOTP is a compilation of ALL her appearances on it, like they have done with ABBA and some other artists. 15th October is too far away!

I'm writing this at 6.28am, having been wakened by my partner at 5am, who had in turn been wakened by the doorbell. It was the police, to tell me that they had traced a stolen car to my address. So, it turns out my car had been pinched from the outside of our house in the small hours! Seems the thieves had broken into our hallway and taken the car keys, my wallet, and my partner's laptop. (The good news - the police have since retrieved my wallet and the keys, but the car and laptop at present remain missing.) Why am I posting this here? Because one of the officers asked if the car contained any valuables, and I immediately responded with "YES! My Olivia Newton-John 'If Not For You' Deluxe Edition CD set!" I wonder if my insurance will cover it?
That’s awful. About everything, I mean. Hope everything turns up. If not, you can replace a car and laptop, but tracking down a new copy of the If Not For You deluxe is far more difficult.
Oh, so sorry to hear this! I've had my car stolen twice in the last three years, and fortunately I got it back both times, but neither of those thefts occurred right outside (let alone in!) my home. I guess the short answer to this is it depends on how much your insurance covers "personal items." I recall I had to make an inventory of what was lost or damaged, and assess a value of each item, which thankfully wasn't much, but of course different carriers may vary in reimbursement. My best guess for you is that any CDs should definitely qualify, and certainly that ONJ set ought to be valued at replacement cost, or at the very least what you originally paid for it. Best of luck!
I've stumbled upon this video montage of Olivia set over Magic.. most I've seen and some bits and bobs I haven't. But...dang what a life she led.
Not sure on that as the Japan set has a 2nd CD. But actually the Japanese version is SMH, so I guess they are doing their own re-mastering.
This looks to be the full Olivia Night BBC2 schedule on 15/10 22:15 - Olivia Newton-John at the BBC 23:15 - Xanadu 00:50 - Only Olivia (ends 01:40) On the downside, it looks like the TOTP segment has been dropped, but the upside is it looks like we’re getting the full 1977 Only Olivia show! I’m so thrilled that the latter hasn’t been wiped. Hopefully there’s a chance of an official DVD release one day. If the schedule changes again, I’ll report back.
