If Magical Mystery Tour were a real album it would walk it for me ahead of Scott, VU, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, First Songs, Wave, Axis Bold As Love, The Who Sell Out, Never Loved A Man, Easter Everywhere and Goodbye & Hello (too many songs on Pepper that I don't like) but when push comes to shove this is probably the record that has given me the most pleasure over the longest time ....

Do you prefer the mono or stereo UK original?

picked up the UK stereo( quasi 3D LP cover) album in Germany flea market for 20 euro about ten years ago, excellent condition. Yet to hear the mono.
I have ( vinyl) both mono/ stereo Big Hits.. seem to remember I preferred the Mono.

Love Pepper myself, yes it’s a period piece. Damn fine production though.

    Designed for mono, hence.

For late sixties albums per se I prefer stereo albums ( headphones) ..though prefer MONO WHITE&SGT.

One album for 1967... not a list.

Esther’s solo album ( featuring Lord Of The Reedy River) fetches a bit of coin these days.

Esther & Abi Ofarim - Up To Date
    Do you mean this one?
That was the last studio album (Up To Date) of the Ofarim duo containing The Lord Of The Reedy River written by Donovan. They went on tour one last time (1969, the first concert I ever attended to) and eventually separated and got divorced.
That's when Esther's solo career started.

Reedy River also on live Esther & Abi concert album ( I believe ).
Esther’s 1969 solo album..Beatles white album cover song .. not Lord Of The Reedy River. Sorry my bad.

I guess you are referring to Don't pass me by".
That song can be found on The Ofarim Story compilation.

    This is easy.

I was eight years old in 1967, and I listened to this album all day long.

Now I'm sixty-one, and I still love it.

Best year ever for albums. My favorite of 1967 is "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." The peak of Beatlemania!
