I first read this as the name of a Yes record, thinking "I guess this one of those bootlegs named after something someone says onstage during the concert."

Anyway, EXILE ON MAIN STREET for me.

    Seriously?
One Album To Rule Them All?
Rookie or not, this sounds like something one would discuss in high school, not an audiophile music forum.

I wonder how many thousands of times a thread like this has been posted here? Just a bunch of replies citing "my favorite album that rules OK".
    I don't get it.

I don't understand how people can narrow it down to just one album. When I first started on this forum I would participate in list threads just to play along. After about a month, my list of favorites would change. How do people do it?

I found it quite easy to narrow it down . I have an emotional attachment to my favourite. It's been with me through good and bad since I was a young teen. I'm in my 60's now and it still affects me when I listen to it. I'm sure there are many who are like- minded. And just as many who are not.

Oh !I know..there's nothing new under the sun. I think Dylan said that.
I used to be on another music forum years ago and if anyone posted a topic that had been posted before some grouch grouches would rip into it and say it had been done before.

A lot of amazing albums listed here, but the one that I still play more than the others combined is ABB at the Fillmore.

So that's where King Solomon got it from? Must have been a Dylan fan. ;)

“Elitist” has nothing to do with overdone topics.
I just don’t see how this can be the least bit interesting to ANYONE. It’s a list of albums!

So if albums were entities from planet Vinyl and one had to rule all others I would say the king would be

Pink floyd.....dark side of the moon

The 2nd in command would be the Beatles revolver.
