Thankfully, I am not a Paul fan. I can order a real Whopper if I so choose. :)

I would imagine, and it’s too bad really, because he’s my favourite living Ozzy guitarist.

I like it. The guitar playing is closer to a processed interpretation of Tony Iommi than it is to Randy Rhoads, Jake E Lee or Zakk Wylde. But the vocal melodies are more like a typical solo Ozzy song.

Ozzy's vocals sound more natural than they have since the 80s.

Catchy and not too bad. It seems like it would be at home on “13”. Not earth shattering, but pleasant just the same. I have such respect for the senior citizen work ethic of Ozzy, Paul McCartney, and Robert Plant. Sad that Plant sounds like a goat these days.

Yes, totally tired of Epic doing this.

    Ex: Black Rain

    -US CD: no bonus
-iTunes pre-order only gets you 1 so-called “exclusive” studio track that disappears after release date.
-Japan CD with 2 bonus studio tracks (neither the iTunes track)

So I bought the iTunes version to get the track that would disappear and the Japan to have all of the tracks. Then a few months later the US Tour Edition came out with all 3 bonus tracks plus more .

    Something similar with Scream.

I can’t imagine a second disc of Scream that could horribly be weaker than the first.

its ok- guitar riff was good- was hoping the song was going to continue with the more upbeat & different tempo.
too many songs already like this with the same metal tempo throughout the whole song. still love Ozzy though

Sounds very similar to Ozzmosis (which is a great album). A little overproduced but nowhere close to production on Scream, Black Rain, or Under Cover. This new album is gonna be his best in 25 years.

Another track is out today - Straight to Hell.

Haven't had a chance to listen to it yet so can't pass comment!

This might be the first song ever to use the word defecate.

New track gets a :thumbsdow:thumbsdow. There's nothing remotely original about it and Ozzy's voice sounds heavily processed almost synthetic.

I like this song a tiny bit better than under the graveyard.

Not bad, but I think Under The Graveyard is much better.

I just stopped in after checking out both of the new songs by Ozzy. "Graveyard" is 100x better than "Straight to Hell" and I have no desire to listen to either ever again.
I was curious because I was a HUGE Ozzy fan when I was a kid and haven't really checked anything out since Ozzmosis. My first concert was Ozzy/Mötley Crue when I was in 7th grade.

I liked Under the Graveyard, but Straight to Hell is not very inspiring, even when Ozzy commands us to defecate.

Have only listened to Straight to Hell once but so far I prefer Under the Graveyard (which is great).

Ozzy is out of creative gas. He now plays into every cliche about him and these lyrics are some of the worst I’ve ever heard.

I don’t know what the lyrics are about and I realize it’s surely sung in third person, but this is just bad.

His guitar player is trying to play more like Iommi instead of his solo guys (which I actually like) but this whole song is based on a throwaway riff that Iommi probably would have not even played a second time when just messing about during a warm up.

Ozzy’s last hurrah appears to be 13. And with that album plus all the bonus tracks he went out on top with Sabbath, IMO.

This new stuff only exposes that his solo career has been way too corporate for way too long and at this point he’s selling an image more than music in my view.
