Let's bask in the glory of this album for no other reason besides it being released 3 years, 10 months and 23 days ago today.

The opposite of false yacht rock. This is the real deal.

By the cover only, it looks like it was released 40 years ago...

I saw a recent live clip of them not too long ago, they sounded good.

The band had some good-to-decent songs, but that logo! Magnificent!

Loved them in high school when they were just starting. By the third album, I was gone. Too pop for me from that point on.

Zero To Sixty In Five and Ocean Breeze were my favorites, and the first two albums were fun.

I am very surprised that they are a going concern, or were 3 years, 10 months and 23 days ago.

Saw them live once in 78/79 at the University of Florida. A lot of fun and while their repertoire is not huge, they do have some good poppy yet rock/proggy albums. Their keyboard player is superb. Seventies pop/rock played by some very capable guys.

Pablo Cruise trivia: Their 2 first bassists died relatively young, so on this live album/DVD they have a younger (than the other 3 original members) replacement bassist. This new guy played, what else, the replacement bassist in the Tom Hanks movie The Wonders. When I saw the extended version of the movie this year (loved it) I knew that I knew that guy from somewhere.

I don't know what it says about me that I made the connection in under 10 minutes without looking at the credits.

But they did have good Bay Area bona fides, as the band was formed by ex-members of Stoneground and It's a Beautiful Day, both represented on the closing of the Fillmore West album and movie.
