A little nerd nod; Aaron Stanford who played Pyro in the X-Men films with Sir Patrick was the Ferengi in Episode 2.

Conversely, I was like "Oh, I hope that's Elnor!"

Even liking Elnor, it sure was.

Of course some folks are already upset that [SPOILER CHARACTER] was in there just stabbin' dudes. I saw a few comments along the lines of "so Starfleet can just kill people now". Uh, yeah? Showing up and just stunning the bad guys is so 1987.

Why does Jack Crusher have a British accent when he was raised by his American mother?

I don't think we know she raised him yet.

still a good question. i was wondering the same thing.

based on what i've read, i think the kinks in writing do get a bit ironed out in the coming episodes.

Also, Beverly was last seen, without Jack, in Insurrection, which came out about 20 years ago. And Picard says he hasn’t seen her in 20 years. Jack looks like he’s in his 30s.

    Actor's in his early 30s, I'm sure we're meant to believe he's a young 20-ish whippersnapper though!

Maybe he has Picard's "synthetic skin" (oh, how I'd hoped they'd ignore that robot-Picard thing this season, so I could pretend this was the only season of Picard that exists, but no, they managed to slip it into the dialogue this episode).

This is a real follow up to TNG isn’t it! Seasons 1 and 2 were attempted twists on the canon and format. Enjoying this. And I’m no Trekkie ;)

  13. A lot better than the two previous series of Picard.
Though if they ever do a Futurama live-action, Patrick Stewart is a shoo-in for Prof. Farnsworth.

Picard is a robot now? I’m glad I missed that part of season 1.

Three eps in and Holy Moses this is awesome!

MAJOR plot development in this episode with the baddies. Wow am I psyched now.

Not really a spoiler but didnt want to divulge a single detail. I am not a Raffi fan but I liked her a lot in this episode. I really liked the good cop bad cop routine with her and Worf

Much better than the first two seasons. See, nostalgia isn't a bad thing!

Since the TNG movies immediately followed the series, they didn’t evoke the same kind of nostalgia as the TOS movies, which started 10 years after the series ended. Now, TNG is getting the nostalgia treatment. As you said, not a bad thing.

I love the return of the Changelings.

I'm wondering (and so are many others on the internet) if the Riker we see on the Titan with Picard is actually a Changeling intruder...

still really enjoying this season. that scene with picard and crusher was fan-freakin-tastic. loved it.

i'm more than ready for the rest of the gang at this point. i just hope it's really them and not some funny business cooked up.

Third season is excellent, much better than the earlier ones. Great story, fine acting. Looking forward to more episodes.

this week's episode felt like the end of a movie. a movie that was better than almost all of the other TNG stinkers.

what on earth could be up next?

  25. This has been a corker of a season so far. Loved the conflict between Riker and Picard. The best of the three seasons and a big improvement over the second season.
