The actor that played the rogue Borg Hugh was also present at the Comic-Con panel today.

I'm a huge Original Star Trek/Next Generation fan. This certainly does get my ole Starfleet juices flowing. I didn't know I wanted it but......I want it.

Jumping the gun here a bit but we could get a new big screen production in the next couple of years if this next chapter is successful.

I wondered that, too. If a post-TNG series is actually something of a hit, would Paramount assemble another post-TNG movie?

DS9's ending left a few threads hanging...

How old is Picard supposed to be? Patrick Stewart looks good but he also looks his age (75-80)

And now some bad news.... Picard is postponed until early 2020. I was expecting this but still a bummer.

It's a little too heavy-handed on the special FX which I was expecting and all actors are more or less models, as expected.

The usual reasons I guess. Script and production problems...more time for CGI

Picard would be in his '90s I believe.

That article says it will be available on Amazon Prime. Wonder how much each episode will cost? Wonder if it will be cheaper to get All Access and then just cancel after I see it.... Do the episodes drop all at once? Or is it a weekly series?

  13. I wonder if that is accurate. You can subscribe to CBSAA as a Prime Video channel, or as a standalone App. It seems odd that you can also get it as part of Prime, without a AA sub.

This is the same kind of deal that was struck with ST Discovery & Netflix.

Maybe they'll (finally) explain How Picard exited the Nexus in Generations... because if basic plot logic is adhered to, he's still there.

What a twist that would be for the upcoming new series...

Guinan told him he could leave anytime, so he did, with Kirk.

Hmmm, trailer had more FX and stuff than I was expecting, was hoping it’d be more drama based, like Sopranos meets Start Trek.

Still gonna watch ! Picard is my fave captain

Yeah, it's some of that good ol' second act exposition. Her "echo" in the Nexus told Picard he could go anywhere, any time:

If the show's dealing with the Borg - and 7 of 9 is around - it totally makes sense to bring in the holodoc as well. He's got more medical experience with the Borg than anybody else in Starfleet, assuming there hasn't been a Borg invasion of the Alpha Quadrant since Voyager returned home.

I just now saw the trailer. It looked really good and then they threw in 7 of 9 and then Data. I am soooo in!
