Looks like they're going to be talking about some pretty serious s!@t involving Steinman and Meat Loaf.
Also looks pretty fun, like they don't take themselves too seriously, too.

    really looking forward to it

The inner workings of the Meat Loaf / Steinmann world is not often talked about in depth
No doubt she is one of the select few who could offer the most insight

    Patti's a real trooper.

I'm sure that Summers guy has a story or two to tell, also.

Small hiatus due to Jim's passing.
You can find a tribute, of sorts, here:
Love, Death, & an American Guitar (Wasted Youth).
This was a quick and dirty one-take, one-time-only recording made by myself (for my sins), after a lengthy discussion with Jim over certain aspects of the musical.
Amusing side note: Patti actually thought that it was Jim in the recording (for the record, I'm VERY British, and have no idea how I pulled that one off).

great episode and a wonderful start to this series, even though the subject matter was very sad.

Already very interesting insight you couldn't get anywhere else. Hope you guys keep at it - this is a sought after source of information/fun facts (and I'm sure not so fun facts on certain topics..) in the Steinman/Meat Loaf/Patti world. (Given how Patti has been a cruicial part of this since 1993, and how she basically carried the live show during the last years of her tenure, I think she deserves a co-headline :) )
While Meatloaf has done countless interviews, they are often familiar soundbites by now...any other perspectives on Steinman are rare to come by. Patti's insight and access is also unique, to say the least - so this whole thing is extremly exciting for anyone remotely interested in the subject.

One thing I thought about while listening; perhaps some of the stories could be placed on a timeline, to make the chronology more clear?

Very much looking forward to the next episode :) :)

    That's the plan - starting with 1993.
    We're expanding.
While you'll always get anecdotes about Jim and Meat and Queen, due to our backgrounds, we're pushing ahead in a more general direction, with guests from new and recent bands, solo artists, etc.
    Glad you enjoyed it!
Feel free to spread it far and wide.

Patti performs 'Innuendo' by Queen, live on stage, with an orchestra.
    Exclusively at Kitchen Sink.

I'm sure you'll cover how and when she got connected to the world of Queen. Looking forward to that, as I don't think anyone has ever spoken in depth about it....

We'll be devoting an entire extended episode to Patti and Queen, with some very cool and intimate anecdotes coming up.

@raye_penber - may I ask: Is there an RSS feed for the podcast?
Trying to add it into iTunes so I can subscribe, but I cannot seem to locate it in the store.

We're solely on Youtube right now, but we may migrate once we reach a certain episode. Not ideal, I know, but has to be this way at the moment. Hopefully, a dedicated Kitchen Sink website will be coming in the not too distant future, with some interesting special guests lined up and a bit of a facelift.

Thanks for the clarification - I was just thinking I was crazy :)

Please keep us posted here on those developments - I tend to listen most in the car, so YT isn't always the best. Excited to dive into the episodes you have so far!

I’m a big fan of Jim Steinman’s songs and productions. I haven’t heard this yet but from the “trailers” it looked like it was going to bashing or making allegations against Steinman and considering he’s sadly no longer around to defend himself, I hope that isn’t where it’s heading. If something illegal that can be proven took place, that’s another story. If however she’s just slinging mud, I wouldn’t be interested in this.
