I see Macca's home was broken into.

Break-in at Sir Paul McCartney's home

And Roy Wood's van was stolen but echoing his song, it is Christmas for him today as he got it back - along with a hundred grand's worth of gear.

Love our Paulie, quite like the song, but is the message so veiled/cryptic that it calls for this kind of explanation?

sounds like it happened a week ago, so I'm guessing they weren't home or it would've been a bigger story.

Wouldn't it be more like "my session files got a virus and now we have to have IT fix them!" - "I'm sorry Paul, your files are too corrupt!" "Let's get Harry to fix them while we dance!"

Yeah...had they been home, it could have been another scary George situation.

Have to say, I don't agree about New, I don't like it all but it definitely isn't lack luster and MAF is one of McCartney's absolute best, just don't hear where it's uneven. Hunt You Down is nowhere near pop?! It's a bonafide rocker that I wish McCartney was performing! I really don't get any connection of Nothing For Free's sound in relation to She Loves You?! One is power pop the other is more bass driven funk.

Paul is looking good in these promo shots. Finally we have an Egypt Station song music video with Paul primarily in it.

You really need to look out for those hypnotherapist/meteorologists, especially if you're a patient of bullying.

You know, I was thinking that if Tom Doyle was ever up to writing another book on Paul, that there's a great story to be told in Paul's Flaming Pie and beyond work. If I were writing it, I'd emphasize the contrast (not sure if this is the best word, but I couldn't think of another) between live Paul/interview Paul, who's solidified his status as a living legend, and who enjoys basically universal acclaim and popularity, and studio Paul, who continues to innovate, is receiving arguably the best reviews of his career (except for maybe the original reviews for Band On The Run and Tug of War), but, apart from the diehards (aka us ;)) is ignored completely by the buying public.

What a fantastic idea! I would personally love to see Doyle write a book about the entirety of Paul's solo career and life after the Beatles split, sort of absorbing 'Man On The Run', updating it with new factoids discovered since then (including from the archive series) and then going all the way through the 80's and 90's onwards with as much detail as possible, certainly highlighting exactly what you describe.

I just need to breathe for a second. In the last few months we have gotten so many wonderful releases from Paul, John, and the Beatles! I honestly don't know which one I like the most. I feel like we have gotten two near masterpieces from Paul with his new Egypt Station and his reconstructed double album of RSS. The Esher White Album songs continue to be a revelation to me as well.
