Since I don t do vinyl Im happy to stay out of this thing. Ecspecially since I bought the exclusive Wings box

Ugh. I signed up for the mailing list just to see what the price of this thing is but I'm out if this is a penny more than a hundred bucks.

Besides, I'm saving for the potential BBB second press.

It's a jigsaw of Macca wearing a Floyd Mayweather 'money team TMT' cap.

Why does Paul assume that we're all swimming in money? This isn't even a top tier album.

Yeah, right now I'm of the view that this is all kinds of stuff I don't want (swag, a suitcase-sized storage problem) and very little stuff that I do want (2.5 new studio tracks + some live renditions). Now I'm a sucker for irrational Beatle-expenditures, I know that about myself and I've come to terms with that, but I suspect I won't get suckered on this one -- I can't imagine Capitol/MPL will be able to price such a swaggy set anywhere near my ballpark. I did enter my email address at the site (I'm a sucker; see above), so anything's still possible, but I may have the rare opportunity to tell my wife how virtuously I desisted from blowing her post-Valentines Day dinner on a bunch of stuff that we need to store in the cellar. I'm sure she'll be impressed, LOL.

Here's to hoping there will be a more attractively priced 2CD/1DVD edition in the future, RH

I’ll save my money for the forthcoming Beatles deluxe releases and the McCartney archive releases from the 1970’s
This deluxe edition with its playing cards and jigsaw puzzle doesn’t interest me
I haven’t played my cd since the week it was released !

I would only buy it if they include an extended version of "Back in Brazil" on 8 track cartridge.

The live tracks must be: Come on to Me, Who Cares, Fuh You and (from LIPA, I guess) Confidante.

Remember the Deluxe Fireman Electric Arguments album in the metal box?
    CDs, vinyl, prints
    All for $100.
That's what I was hoping for here.
Maybe this ES deluxe won't be $500 or more.

PS I'm more convinced than ever, the comprehensive plan will eventually result in box sets of all the now out of print book editions of the Archive series.

At this this is fun...the Harrison vinyl box was overpriced and offered very little aside from the actual albums. The Lennon Imagine reissue campaign was a cash grab from start to finish.

(Not to quote myself, but...) Here's another thing: the thing about getting suckered is that it hurts less if you aren't stuck with such a visible reminder of your own suckerdom. This is why that stupid Stones' Grrr... box chafed so much: not only was it offensively priced, but, if you bought it, you were stuck with a large box that was so big, you couldn't forget what a sucker you'd been. Now, do I really want a suitcase-sized reminder of my own Beatle incontinence? Every time I'd see it, I'd feel a little self-disgusted and that can be a bitter thing. The more I think about it, the more I feel myself heading into hard-pass territory...

If you bought the Harrison box set on sale at Amazon it wasn’t overpriced if you counted the number of albums included in the box set it was right where it should have been.
