Replying to myself, the package has indeed shipped. Scheduled for Friday delivery. Looks like it won't be long before I can actually join in the discussion. With all 3 members who are still around. ;)

The vinyl version with the album title styled in red text is from the 3 LP box (while the album proper only, 2 LP release keeps it black), right? Also, I understand another difference from the original pressing and all Archive reissues is that the lyrics and Paul's song by song notes are migrated from a printed inner sleeve to a booklet, correct?

Yes that's correct. Heaven only knows why red was used.

In the collectors edition the album has no title or artist printed on the front, so 3 versions!!

  6. There is also two cards in my vinyl from the collector box, one with a text by Paul in a comic way. I don't know if these cards are in all versions of the LP.

Hard to believe some members are still waiting for their UDiscover FP orders nearly two weeks after the release date. But it looks like they'll be receiving them soon. I'll probably be in the same situation in a few weeks with my Rolling Stones GHS order placed with them.

    UDiscover = UWait = UReceive = USave!

I’m looking for a used McCartney II download card. Can’t find my original to make a collage of them all.

The red title is a great design choice IMHO. It ties in with the pie graphic and balances the whole design better.

  12. I got a $100 gift card from my company so, for that, I could justify buying the boxed set as it cost me around $117 when all was said and done. That pricing I could see.

  13. My dog chewed up mine. Sad day as Ikept it and usually keep it in with the set but it fell out last time I played it.

Good catch on the color variations! Is that a US copy on the right?

I ask because I have both US & UK originals from ‘97 and I never noticed until now, but the US copy is definitely darker/yellower than the UK. The new copy is lighter than both, but still not that far off the original UK. Perhaps I should do a comparison photo, like I did with the Harrison reissues from a few years ago. Those reissues were wayyy off the originals...

  15. How much you want to bet they will do another limited edition with live album pulling from the Concert for Kampuchea? That will irritate me.

  20. I’m hoping they do but not for the super duper deluxe edition. That would just tick me off. If it’s for the super deluxe, I’m fine with it.

It wouldn't surprise me at this point.
London Town: CD, rough mix, bonus tracks, DVD of promo films & home movies
Back to the Egg: CD, rough mix, bonus tracks, DVD of promo films/"Rockestra" documentary, DVD of Hammersmith show
Wings Live: CD of most of the show culled from Glasgow & Manchester.

Just as it wouldn't surprise me if that release's success leads to a final pairing set for Give My Regards to Broad Street and Press to Play:
Broad Street: CD, bonus tracks, DVD of promo films & documentary
Press to Play: CD, rough mix, remixes, DVD of Paul McCartney Special and modified Once Upon A Video
    Pepperland
    : assorted demos & cuts from 1983-1989

Tripping the Live Fantastic onwards has nothing to create pairs with.

2021 is going to be an expensive year, what with most of the boxed sets that were Q4 2020 being pushed into 2021 as well.
