I found this comment on Discogs, posted today, regarding this 3333 edition: "More of these are coming on October 22nd, 2021 --- Don't overpay!"Granted, that's just some dude on the internet, so why should I believe him? Well, he's got a 99.8% positive feedback as a seller in over 8000 transactions. Good enough for me. Be patient (and smart!), folks.
This album has owned me from the start, more than me owning it! Gotta see it through to the bitter end, I guess.
You may be on to something here. That would explain the radio silence from official channels. October 22nd is a Friday too.
That was my first thought when these appeared. 3333 new copies of an album, but virtually no one has it? It’s either a mistake or an intentional “leak” to try and generate hype for something that none of us need: yet another vinyl variant of this album.
So far this guy has given us more information about this repress than we have about the supposed existence of a "III Part 3". There's something to be said about being straightforward with information.
called today on a whim and they still had one so I went and got it. Thanks a lot, thread, for making me want a second copy of this album…
Your OCD collecting will pay off in the end. I heard if you find all the variants, cut out the UPCs and send them in, you get exclusive option to purchase the final variant—a cassette formed from the recycled remains of old, discarded Third Man "333s":
Okay, we're down to $275 on discogs. There's hope. And once I've got that yellow cover, I won't be missing the 333 so much anymore ...
I recall the 333 edition saying it had a screen printed jacket, I assume that was exclusive to that edition. Did anyone notice that difference in printing method and do we think the 3333 will be the same?
Discology: CDs : DVDs : LPs Movie & Music Store on Instagram: "There’s another variant coming from #thirdmanrecords for #mccartneyiii in yellow/black splatter vinyl. Call or DM me through Instagram if you are interested in a copy on 22 October. $36.00. Apparently, there will be 3333 copies and they are regrinds of McCartney and McCartney II records."
It's 2021 - you have to destroy good things to make things that are less good. It's in the rule book.
... because McCartney III is one of the best albums he ever made? ... I know opinions vary, but for me my prediction has come true, it has surpassed even Chaos, Electric Arguments and Egypt and sits comfortably next to Pet Sounds as my very favourite album ... my closest musical friends ... (But no, I am not taking part in the variants race. As of now that Japanese CD (SHM) edition with all bonus tracks included is all I need.)
