So I accept that we'll probably never, ever, ever hear Carnival Of Light, but it would be nice if Apple put in something inofficious, like the spectral deconstruction of She Loves You they've been working on for a few years... I can almost picture it: Ringo's opening drum fill goes off, she loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah...and then Rick Rubin hits a switch, and there's John, Paul and George's voices alone. Another, and John's rhythm is chugging along on the verse. Another, George's lead stabs through. Again, Paul's bass booms out, maybe he plays along to it in close up. Then, Ringo with his inimitable fills. Back to vocals and Paul and Rick hit the high woo together and laugh. Finally, it's back to mono for the Glenn Miller VI chord they were so proud of... However, All My Loving sounds like the same old twin track, so I'm not getting my hopes up...
Detailed, positive recap of episode 1 from Showbiz411 - of course, most of the anecdotes are familiar to longtime fans: Paul McCartney Hulu Doc: When They Fought He Called Lennon “Four Eyes,” John Called Him “Pigeon Chest”
Owned by Disney. The day the Mouse folds everything on Hulu up into D+ is the day I'll listen for the screaming from Oregon.
I don’t have Disney+ because there is nothing I want to watch. Hulu, however, is a different story. Yes, I’m aware that Disney owns Hulu.
McCartney 3,2,1 will be available in the US as a Hulu Original and internationally on Disney+ as a Star Original ‘McCartney 3,2,1’ First Trailer Arrives In Front Of Series Debut – Deadline
Question is when and how. The “M.O.D.O.K.” series was a Hulu original, where all episodes premiered at once in the US. However, when it arrived on Disney+ Star internationally, it did as a weekly episode release.
What an odd choice, with access to all this McCartney and Beatles music that's already featuring in the documentary, to use canned non-Paul music as bumpers in the trailer. And with Paul as one of the producers, he signed off on that?
Star is one section included within Disney+, like Pixar or National Geographic. Star includes content from Hulu and Fox.
Ah ok thanks for that. At this stage, I'm going to assume that this will be available in the UK via Disney +. So I'll sign up.
McCartney Hulu Doc: A New Song, An Unreleased Beatles Song, Personal Motto: “Forge ahead constantly…in music and in life”
Nice!! He sits down at the piano and plays a bit of a new song, called “Life is Hard”, and Rubin says to him, the beauty of it is that it sounds like it always existed but was never actually created. You can hear McCartney’s musical fingerprints all over it, it’s lovely. And here it is. It might be from Paul’s work on the “It’s a Wonderful Life” Broadway show.
Yay! Sounds like that Thinking of Linking is from the Get Back sessions? I thought it might have been from the Anthology jam at first given Paul's voice. I wonder if this will show up on the LIB set.
Heard the song, he says it's something he's been working on and does not appear to be a Beatle song. It's only an embryo of a song, about 35-40 seconds
and I believe the new song is called "Life Can Be Hard" as it's listed on ASCAP. You'll see a quick 35-40 clip on the Hulu series Episode #2
Unrelated to this bit from the final movement of Liverpool Oratorio (disc 2 track 24)? What people want is a family life, The strength of a home and a moat round the castle.
