he's totally the best !!!

he has more chops than Dizzy and more passion than Miles!

When he takes the lead vocal it definitely takes up the track a notch or four

 

He’s been practicing this for a while!

 

Only on SHF can a random blow by a Beatle deserve it’s own thread.

 

I think it’s worthy of discussion. After all his first instrument was the trumpet...seems he kept it up!

 

Better than I could do.

On the other hand, I can write a song better than Honey Pie, or Bip Bop. So, I guess we're even.

 

He rarely blows his own trumpet!

I think it came off exactly as intended.

As a trumpeter he wouldn't pass the audition for anything. And, judging by the way he cracks up after a particularly bad phrase, I think he's well aware of that. I found the whole thing charming. And the other musicians do a nice job covering his flubs.

Ok, I’m sorry to say, but if he were not Paul McCartney, no one would have cared a single bit. And that trumpet playing is rudimentary at best. I have heard kids play it better.

 

Stick to the drums, Macca

 

i mean he's just having fun...no one says he's Miles Davis!

 

This is the reason they charge $10 for The Saints!

He's not a trumpeter by any means but once he started cringe-singing I was reaching for the mute button so fast as it was too embarrassing and I was afraid others in the house would hear what I was listening to. No more screaming Macca. It really sucks when you try to pull it off.

 

I'm sure Paul would love reading that flattering review.

 

He sings like Satchmo now and plays like Charo.

 

I actually liked his singing bit, in thought it added an extra dimension to the piece
