For those not following the most current scoop we've received definite confirmation that the album is coming out soon. Via the fact that if you play any song on Spotify of either McCartney or McCartney II albums you get a short video of a dice being thrown that ends up on a 3. Very cute inside way of announcing without announcing McCartney III.

    Christmas comes early this year!!!!!!

This shameful behavior strikes you funny Dr. Pepper?

What’s up with these Beatles kids anyway ?

Paul is sitting in his attic with a piano up his nose, and John’s acquaintance Mean Mr Mustard keeps a ten bob note up his nose .

I for one want to go on record that these Beatle hooligans may start a TikTok challenge and before you know it, emergency rooms will be flooded by teens with pianos and/or money stuck up their noses .

Should we be encouraging this delinquent behavior by mentioning this anti- social behavior here ? I think not .

And you, being a physician Dr. Pepper should know better .:realmad:

    Gleen,

On a scale of 1 to 10 how much are you looking forward to McCartney III, and do you think it will be more similar in style to McCartney or McCartney II?

Same questions for anybody else who wants to anwer.

Well, I take McCartney music as he doles it out.

Electric Arguments and Egypt Station are two later career highlights to me, but if he is inspired to release an album of just him playing acoustic guitar or piano with vocals I’d like that also .

I’ve always been at 10 when it comes to looking forward to music from Paul, unless it’s ever a current era live release at some later point .

I wish I had a clue regarding what kind of music he will release but if it’s really just Paul by himself or close to it, it won’t be over produced , which is a plus in my book.

Like you I'm happy to get whatever Paul wants to do. I'm always about a 12 out of 10 in excitement for any studio McCartney release. I'm hoping it's closer in style to McCartney than McCartney II. Also generally the more acoustic the better, imo.

It is exiting with this McCartney III thing. Always is when Paul makes something new. We will soon find out if Paul delivers again. I don t think the album will sound much like the previous two McCartney albums. There is 40 years between the last one and now

I hope it's more like McCartney more straight rock. It could be his last album and I would want it to be accessible to the masses, not the weird experimental direction that appeals to just a fringe corner of his fan base.

Well McCaerney II contained one very big hit and the sessions for it one of his biggest ever(the Christmas ditto).
So there were a lot more goin in there than just strange sounds,

I’ll bet McCartney III will be Paul + synth, similar to McCartney II in approach. I just don’t see an all acoustic set interesting him these days.

That position would be nearly as painful as listening to the song.

Next up - "The Night Before"

We jump onto the Help album tracks!

    THE NIGHT BEFORE(Lennon/McCartney)

JOHN 1965: "'The Night Before' that Paul does is good."

PAUL circa-1994: "I would say that's mainly mine. I don't think John had a lot to do with that."

"That’s Paul again. I’ll just say it’s Paul, meaning I don’t remember anything about it except it was in the movie Help!"

    John Lennon
All We Are Saying, David Sheff

The Beatles recorded ‘The Night Before’ in just two takes, on the afternoon of 17 February 1965 at Studio Two in EMI Studios in Abbey Road, London.

The session began at 2pm and ended at 7pm. Paul McCartney’s lead vocals were double tracked. The song completed, from 7pm they turned their attention to George Harrison’s ‘You Like Me Too Much’.
