Did Paul Simon ever perform or record "Red Rubber Ball"?
S&G was the first concert I ever attended, in late 1965 or early 1966. I was 11.
Also saw them in Central Park, probably the most "legendary" concert I've been to.
Saw him on Broadway when he did "The Capeman" play, which was great.

One of the true giants of music.
    His music is the proof.
In 5 years he created music that took 15 years to create In the 70s.
    Times had changed.

Does anyone know what has happened to his collection of demos, Alternate Tunings? He previewed six of them in his last tour program, and as as far as I know a full album was supposed to follow In The Blue Light. I would have preferred it!

It's probably in the same category with that collaborative album with his wife, Edie Brickell, that was announced YEARS ago and then never issued. I think they released one song and then … nada.

The song is from '72, but the video looks like it was made sometime in the 80's.

About as fave an artist as I have- toppest of the top shelves.

Cautiously hopeful that we'll still see the duet album with Edie Brickell & his "Alternate Tunings" collection of outtakes/demos etc. ... and who onows what else... of course any more original material and/or new recordings would be fantastic! As would any live appearances anywhere near where I am!!

I met the man after a concert here (he was touring behind the "Surprise" album). I spoke with him briefly and told him how much I liked his new album. He was cool and appreciative.

One of the greatest singer/songwriters of all time.

    (I feel old...)

    Happy 80th Sir!

Today I stuck on the 1981 Central Park concert video with Art Garfunkel.
I noticed The Late Great Johnny Ace was left off the CD, but was on the video. I now realise why. He was nearly assaulted during the song by a crazed fan.
He was 40 then. Great video.
