"Being Remixed" CD single is a bit of a collector's item. It was released in small number in Germany only. The corresponding vinyl 12'' was released internationally though and is comparatively easy to find.
@c-eling Can you upload a 30 seconds sample of Violence, starting from the beginning? This is a 1994 reissue. It would be good to check what you are saying, so we can make this the refencence CD. Thanks.
I believe the Japan was the only release that didn't index Opportunities (Reprise). Dropbox - Violence Sample.wav
This is strange, I didn't believe it so I had to check - there were always lots of these CD Singles for sale for a reasonable price previously - now sold for $35 and $50 and some dreamers trying to sell it around the $90 mark....
Thanks. Yes, it's quite close to the LP. It's wider, like the original CD, but the treble has been tamed, but not entirely deemphasized. I'll have a look at this pressing.
I finally picked up the Very, Behaviour, and Bilingual vinyl reissues. Very is perfect, a great reissue. Unfortunately, the other two are pretty sibilant on the inner tracks. They're still fun to have on vinyl, but the pressings are definitely not audiophile. 2xLP 45 rpm would have been a better choice for these albums.
Just noticed today that, the 2001 booklets are SUPERIOR in quality, compared to the 2017-2018 ones. Now this is something. I was telling the second discs are all superior than these reissues (not the disc album for sure, by a huge deal), However, I think these booklets from 2001 are incomparable to what has been reissued. Not that the 2017-2018 booklets are crap, but I just came to realize how bad CD manufacturing is THESE DAYS really... It is really a shame they have managed to ruin the mastering on all 2001 reissues for the album disc.
I had to google Tracey Thorn. Everything but the Girl, a band I never got into. What's @jeffmo789 going to think.
Can I suggest the latest Tracey Thorn album, called Record. The last track on that album called Dancefloor, is in my top 10 tracks of 2018. It could have easily been a duet with Neil Tennant.
Thats how old I am Looking at my post I guess I phased it wrong in regards to my age. In 1985 I was 23, so maybe it wasnt my youth, but part of me thinks it was. ?
Pet Shop Boys Inner Sanctum - July 2018 - Royal Opera House German New years eve tv edit of forthcoming Dvd / Blu Ray
Pet Shop Boys today announce the release on DVD, Blu-ray and CD of their show ‘Inner Sanctum’, filmed at London’s Royal Opera House during a sold-out run last summer. Staged by designer Es Devlin and choreographer/director Lynne Page, the show was filmed by director David Barnard and will be released on 12 April 2019. The full-length film on DVD and Blu-ray is accompanied by two CDs of the complete audio of the live show plus a bonus feature of PSB live at Rock in Rio, which was filmed on 17 September 2017 at the Brazilian festival.
Please, not too many shots of the audience, I hate that. Yes, people came, they enjoyed it / mugged at the camera, etc, we get it. And what was happening on stage while they did all this? I've seen people, I didn't see the show. Show me the show.
The video I linked a few posts up, give you an idea of what it will be like. Its an edit of the full length DVD.
