Phil Collins suffering from health problems, can 'barely hold' drum sticks

Have you watched the Ginger Baker documentary?

 

I had a lot of mixed feelings watching clips of Genesis opening night show in Birmingham.

Phil is in terrible shape, clearly avoiding high notes, maybe he’ll get stronger as tour progresses.

I hope he survives tour, honestly.

maybe he wants to go out this way, his right to do it. But there is no question he is a shell of who he was and its hard to watch.

 

I always get a bad feeling when I see thread titles that are word-for-word copied from bottom-feeding tabloid-y linkbait articles, in the case of this one, straight from the New York Post’s Page Six and a bunch of other icky places.

 

Isn't there an old singer they can ask to replace Phil in case he has to stop?

 

I personally think you're exaggerating, but to each his own.

No. No it's not. Robin Williams had Lewy Body Disease. That is a debilitating disease that is much much worse than a bad back or neck surgery.

Err he has been sitting down for years. How on earth can this be passed on as news?

Several media outlets keep using it over and over for clickbait. Turn it off again.

 

I adore all eras of Genesis... but I have absolutely no desire to watch Phil sitting throughout an entire show.

However... oddly enough, I wouldn't find it nearly as off-putting if the setlist was all pre-Duke material, and they utilized lots of lighting and video effects.

 

It's a terrific show, even with Phil seated.

Depends who you ask. Phil is one of the biggest stars from the 80s, and a lot of fans only know that version of Genesis.

 

Some of us know after one divorce that nothing beats single life, others keep on trying.
