I'm very sorry to hear about your family friend. It's great that you're going to see him. PS: You're right about "Poor Heart." I always love hearing it.
Thanks mate - yea it's more of a big deal for my uncle (not that I don't care!) but the 2 have been best friends for 40 years so it's gonna hit my uncle REALLY hard if something happens and he's prone to being drastic and irrational when emotional, so, yea... :/
Just finishing set 1 of 6/15/10 That was a great listen! The energy and atmosphere was awesome - a real toe-tapper set. Was anyone at this show and care to comment? It's got a low rating on .NET but we all know that's BS sometimes
6/15/10 Oooh, the Wilson that opens set 2 is a scorcher. I love that, what I call, "Zeppelin Riff" part near the end of the song. Always a banger round these parts.
6/15/10 Holy hell, for such a "boring-looking" show on paper, set one was explosive from start to finish and set 2 is just getting better and better with each song. Wilson ruled, Seven Below had some very nice jamming, 46 Days EXPLODED and then segued beautifully into this ONE-TIME-ONLY appearance of Idea, a Mike song that totally should've stayed in their repertoire (because this version is excellent with some nice jammign too!). Man, this show rules!
Ventura for $10...….that's more than a steal! I shelled out $31 for that! And I still think I got my money's worth....but dang.
I know right?! Youd be insane not to get it just on principle Original price was 36 plus shipping. Jeez....thanks Phish!!!
I am sure most of you have seen this, but today's deal at Phish Dry Goods is 30% off solo projects. I picked up several Trey solo albums that I'd never gotten around to before. (Up until now I only had the self-titled and Paper Wheels).
For some reason I tend to really like their Chicago shows. I’ve got 2014 and 2016 from Live Phish and I listen to those shows quite a bit.
Haven’t heard those, but ‘94 was a great year in general and those two Chicago shows are about as good as it gets.
IWT and IWT in fact this is the first year since 2013 I haven’t seen Trey in Chicago (2015 was ftw). Great town, always fun to visit. Lots to do during the day pre show and the band usually plays well
Again. As far as a studio album, this one is pretty nice. Peters out a bit in the end with Time Turns Elastic (which was a single ?!!) and Twenty Years Later. I have never seen TTE live. If I did, it would complete this album for me. Am I going to have to stay up tonight and figure out which albums I have seen or am close to seeing live ? LOL . . anything to avoid doing my CLEs. Am I right @wavethatflag ?
Wow. Trey and Fishman are forming a new band called Ghosts of the Forest and going on tour in April. I hope that the music in this clip is an example of what they'll sound like. Way better than Dad rock! https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=312695562912390
