It might depend on the phone and player you are using. They need to support Hires audio. My Galaxy phone doesn't have a headphone jack, so I need to use a USB DAC. I also use the Neutron app as my player, which supports hires.
FYI if you don't know already but you can highlight individual peaks using View > Show Clipping with red lines accross the whole sample (well, if you zoom in at least) and you can also analyse the audio for actual clipping an it'll create a maker track with markers at the beginning and end of the clipping.
Here is Time from DSOTM. Top pic is the HDtracks.com 96/24 release and the bottom is the 2011 CD. Pretty damn confident they are the same remaster. Time 96/24 HDtracks.com Tim 2011 CD Remaster
Is there much of a difference between apple, tidal hires of these titles and hdtracks? I use the cobalt dac with tidal thank you
The only difference would be if Tidal is forcing everything through an MQA conversion. If not, then no differences.
If you intend to buy the 24/96 versions of Dark Side Of The Moon or The Wall, avoid Qobuz for these 2 albums! Someone at Qobuz has replaced the tracks The Great Gig In The Sky, Money, Brain Damage, Eclipse, The Happiest Days Of Our Lives, Another Brick In The Wall Pt.2, Hey You and Confortably Numb, by the 24/192 versions taken from "A Foot In The Door" compilation. And of course, it totally ruins the continuity of the album tracks! You can even hear the end of See Emily Play at the start of The Happiest Days Of Our Lives! The versions on HDTracks are 24/96 and correct.

I'm not a hi-res expert so I have a question. I listen to hi-res on a hard drive going into my OPPO-203 and then my OPPO HA-1 headphone amp. If I have a choice between 24/96 and 24/192, shouldn't I choose the latter every time?
I have the HDTracks downloads and they are correct. Apple Music is also correct. Tidal is also correct. I cannot comment about Qobuz. I am located in the US, not sure if that makes a difference.
At least streamed on Qobuz US, all the tracks @MOB_HRV mentioned are streaming at 24/96, just like the adjacent tracks. Could this be a download store-only issue?
I've been streaming DSOTM and The Wall from Qobuz in 24/96 and I am not experiencing any incorrect tracks, no See Emily Play at the end of The Happiest Days of Our Lives for example. I am located in the US and have not purchased, just streamed.
I just purchased A Foot In The Door. I went to download it and got Dreamboat Annie instead. I clicked on Cancel. It says Dreamboat Annie on my receipt too! Idiots! I did not even look at Dreamboat Annie so it can't be my fault.
I looked at the waveforms, and I think the Immersion DSotM uses the same mastering, but the Immersion WYWH does not. If you look closely, you'll notice weird anomalies in the two WYWH waveform screencaps below, whilst the Dark Side screencaps look more or less identical, except that the levels are slightly lower on Immersion. First track is anomalous though - very different DR levels and peak levels - not sure what's going on there, tbh... HD Tracks.. and they even claim I downloaded the entire thing even though I clicked on cancel immediately. All I got was part of track 02 and a .jpg file. Their software is junk. It should at least tell me what is about to be downloaded. They used to have better downloading software than this. They also said I put Dreamboat Annie into the basket. Crazy! I did not even look at Dreamboat Annie. Of course if I had checked the receipt first I could have avoided the problem.
I bought The Wall (24/96 version) from Qobuz and have no issues with my copy. (I previously posted about issues with Piper from Qobuz)
