Are we about to have a Spartacus movement in here?

I was under the impression that the Barbican performance was billed as Pink Floyd, but it seems that was not the case.

Still, "Pink Floyd", at that date, were legally registered as David / Nick / Rick.
The Roger performance was just a guest spot.

I think there will be some nice surprises.

I always want vault box sets to be as complete as possible, but I get why some known tracks may not make the cut. Things might be lost, erased, re-constructed or may only exist as a low quality recording that a third party taped and put out as a bootleg.

I'm pretty confident that they will release anything that they have a good complete master of.

It's possible that TBS 9 and 14 are original unaltered takes (hence why they didn't bother to re-title them), and the rest were what they chose to rework into TER.

that makes the most logical sense.

So no announcement today, so could Monday be the day?, or will that be the day we get a first teaser of this release we get and, then they announce it on the 31st July.

Or they were sections of a bigger piece called The Big Spliff. That's what makes more sense, given that they were titled TBS#, unlike, say Nervana, or Evrika.

I'm no longer thinking of TBS as The Big Spliff, I'm thinking of it as The Box Set. :agree::winkgrin:

So today is the last show of Nick's tour, will the promo for this box start in the coming days would make a lot of sense & will Nick again take the lead like he did with TEY & more importantly will David do any interviews etc for this

  20. Well, (though far be it for me to tell David what to do), it was arguably HIS band after 1987 -- and I think it would be odd for Dave to be mostly absent from all the inevitable press for this new box. Especially with Nick just coming off the road, surely having deserved some r&r.

Either way though, they gotta do some press for this thing, lest it fall to Rog.

    Bottom line.
Next week announcement hopefully Rontoon please start a new string when you get word.
Good points. I would imagine David and Nick being involved with the promotion of the new box set. Very exciting time! This box set will be great. Cheers.

  22. Yes, can we all agree that when the official announcement (with the full track-listing and other details) is presumably released in the next week or two (or whenever)...

...Can we all agree that a *NEW THREAD* (new topic) is in order. (But only when the announcement/details are released -- just to be clear.)

Eh. Maybe a better time would be after it gets released. A thread for reactions and discussing the content. And a separate shipping/pricing thread, which could start much sooner. Or just keep it all here because it doesn't matter at all.

I'm all for that. We did the same thing with The Early Years. Of course this thread will need to be renamed, but something other than Anticip/ation. How about The Later Years - Specul/ation? Mods?
