I agree. I hated it when it was released all those years ago but now I really enjoy it. Took a few decades.

A few decades, eh? Well maybe there's still hope for me  I do revisit the album pretty regularly.

Ram is the culmination of where he was going musically from Penny Lane on - its like the answer to the question at the end of the Beatles.

Interestingly, if you take the 8 best songs from Imagine, Ram and All Things Must Pass, and add in "It Don't Come Easy" and "Early 1970" - you have a pretty fantastic Beatles double LP that holds together remarkably well musically.

"Ram" is one of those albums that has to be played all the way through every time. It's a (very quirky and odd) statement on it's own.
I loved it since it came out and still love it just as much as ever.

This is for the Wings fans ... even though it's not a Wings song. :)

A fine album that deserves kudos. Not to be overlooked when discussing Macca's 1970s output.

I've loved this album since I was very young, and it wasn't until everybody started talking about it being reevaluated that I even realized it was ever rated poorly.

My personal favorite of McCartney solo (although it's credited to him & Linda).

Band on the Run is a very solid rock album. But RAM is more adventurous and I think it shows more of Paul's personality. Some people may not like some of the quirkiness, but I'd wager that most Paul fans love the quirkiness of this album.

    Clearly one of his best.

RAM = Random Access Memory (in 2015). In 1971 it was a male sheep, possibly with horns.

    ;)

The capitalization doesn't bother me, btw.

The only one of his albums I listen to anymore. Very strong throughout without the later cloying.

Yeah, on most days I agree this is the best McCartney album. There isn't much competition.

Though I would definitely say it's better than Pacific Ocean Blue. Dennis Wilson is good in his own broken way, but he's not McCartney at his best.

Don't make fun, but out of all of his albums, in my book, Ram is tied for first place with:

    Flowers In The Dirt
    and
    New
