I like cds because of the booklets, pictures, info on the songs etc. I know I can find most of this information on Wiki but prefer cds never-the-less. Used cds are usually much cheaper than downloads. I do download my favorite albums if they are 92/24 or 192/24, but I don't have that many favorite albums.

I'll still periodically buy a CD to support a group I like, but I stream about 95% of the music I listen to. CDs mostly get played in my car.

I said yes, but I prefer downloads. CDs occasionally have data errors, and they always require storage space. I'm glad not to need a place for the approximately 150 releases I buy in a year.

I voted “yes”, but it’s not regular. But I’ll buy a CD if that’s how something is available.

Yes. The major exception was the Zappa download for the Hot Rats box. I burned the 6 discs on good quality blanks.

I still have..oh...800 plus CDs. So I have hardware issues. My Maranz single disc player quit playing after 7 years. I'm now 66. If I buy another CD player (I did, Yamaha for 300 dollars) and it lasts till I am 73, I will still need a player past that. Should it be a component? My amp should last as long as the new CD player. But the when I am 73, I will need both. Or should I just buy a book case one piece stereo with CD and USB playing, and keep it in a box for 7 years? Because they will be harder to buy then.

I'm still buying CDs, when I can find them. Unfortunately I've discovered that CDs for all of the new (to me) artists that I'm discovering via Amazon HD, are often either difficult or impossible to find.

If I find an album on mp3 in Amazon..mainly classical...and there is no CD for sale, googling that name has yielded the CD, mostly on Ebay. Import CDs does not list well outside itself, so you you have to go there and see if they have it. Otherwise, googling the name and the "shopping" tab will find it if it was ever made. Well, for English. For Finnish I go to Record Store X.

Sometimes searching the album cover picture gives a site that sells it.

I try very hard not to, but once in a while there is no choice for something I can't miss(Henry Cow and Anthony Braxton boxes as an example).

Yes, I really can't get into streamed music - I like having something physical to collect (also prefer real books to kindles etc.). Just upgraded my cd player.

Buying lots of CDs! They are relatively cheap, plentiful and sound great on today's equipment.

agree with you, @Raphael Deangelico : CD's are not expensive.

    So I go for
CD in all sauces: CD, XRCD, Platinum / SHM, MQA, Gold, and, of course ... SACD.
I buy about ten a month, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Since a year, or more, now and then I take me a DVD or BluRay, too.

They are so much cheaper than vinyl these days, and a lot of what I'm buying lately isn't even on vinyl.
And agree with @Tracey streaming isn't for me either. I use Spotify while I work but when it's time to sit down and chill, I like my physical media.

    Yes, but . . .

I buy new classical box sets that are heavily discounted, first priority is avoiding repeats. Otherwise, I guess the answer is no.

Absolutely and always will....Still to me the best audio option sound wise.....short of a 7.1 surround sound/Dolby Atmos system!

Couple of new CDs recently also. But a ton of used CDs this year....prices are hard to beat.

    Yes.

I can listen to all, or mostly all, of my albums on Spotify anytime I want. Somehow, though, I find that I tend to listen to them more on CD, and to enjoy them more when I do.

Discogs is a blessing for this... Most of the CDs I've purchased this year have never went above $4 a piece.
