DML is a solid enough performance and, in my mind, would have been fine B-side material. I'd swap out DML for I'm Down.

"Help!" favorite early (pre-"Rubber Soul") album (fave early film too!)

So I voted for the everything option, as well as all the songs in Level I & II here. Nothing less than terrific songs here- end to end,.with no exceptions.

    Level I:
    ~"Help!"
~"You've Got To Hide Your Love Away"
    ~"I Need You"
    ~"Ticket To Ride"
    ~"It's Only Love"
    ~"Tell Me What You See"
    ~"I've Just Seen A Face"

    Level II:
~"You're Going To Lose That Girl"
    ~"Yesterday"

    Level III:
    "The Night Before"
    "Another Girl"

    Level IV:
    "You Like Me Too Much"
    " Dizzy Miss Lizzy"

    Level V:
    " Act Naturally"

I voted for nine of them, but one of absolute faves is "It's Only Love" ... I'm always puzzled why John so disliked it

Upon first hearing it..I thought Beatles did a great version of Lizzy but popular to bash it on SHF. The shea version of dizzy really slays.

Help! is a solid album that cemented their success in the States. I like them all, but especially Ticket to Ride, the title track, You’re Gonna Lose That Girl, and Tell Me What You See. Classic Beatles harmonies.

Very good album! John was still the dominate force on this album, but it includes Paul's masterpiece "Yesterday".

    1. Yesterday
    2. Ticket to ride
    3. You've got to hide your love away
    4. Help

My votes went to the 9 tracks in Level I & II. Tracks are listed randomly within each level (not in order of preference). "Help!" is their great transitional album- one foot in the past & one in the future. It's the best of the pre-"Rubber Soul" albums.

    Level I:
    ~"Help!"
~"You've Got To Hide Your Love Away"
    ~"Ticket To Ride"

I voted in all these polls yesterday. Taking a look, for the first time, at all the tracks, on all the albums, laid out in tiers/levels, I noticed a couple things that needed correcting.
With both the "A Hard Day's Night"& "Help!" polls, I have decided to add votes for the tracks in Level III- 2 tracks for "A Hard Day's Night" & 3 tracks for "Help!".

My votes went to the 12 tracks in Level I-III.

    ~"It's Only Love"
    ~"Tell Me What You See"
    ~"I've Just Seen A Face"

    Level II:
    ~"I Need You"
~"You're Going To Lose That Girl"
    ~"Yesterday"

    Level III:
    ~"Another Girl"
    ~"The Night Before"
    ~"Dizzy Miss Lizzy"

    Level IV:
    "You Like Me Too Much"
    "Act Naturally"

IMO, "You're Gonna Lose That Girl" is the biggest highlight on the album, though the two singles ("Help!" and "Ticket to Ride") are very fine songs too.

One of the obscure songs that is a personal favorite of mine is "Tell Me What You See", which has long reminded me of the Searchers.
