Then your postal person either doesn't know or doesn't enforce the rules.

The USPS rule is DEFINITELY that if the package has been opened, it cannot be returned to sender without purchasing new postage.

They won’t be happy about paying the return postage from Canada

 

I got White Shoes. I made a five minute phone call to Popmarket and a return label was sent to me by email.

 

I received Evangeline up in Canada this morning. Sent Popmarket a message via Discogs asking them to send me the correct item.

 

I opened up my $22 copy of White Shoes this morning. Apparently it wasn’t just me...

 

Ditto. Phone call took a cupla minutes, max. I miss the Pop Market of 3 years ago when their massive underpricing mistakes turned out to be just that, under priced, and the records advertised were delivered.

 

I just received a reply to my discogs message. They sent a link to a return label, so I'm good to go now. No phone call required.

 

Same with me, but I had to escalate the issue to Discogs to get Pop Market to take action. But now I wonder how they will know that the returned album is for my order, because the return mailing label is a generic one without my name or other info on it. I never opened the package, so perhaps there's a packing or order slip inside the package to give them the info they need to process the return.

 

There is a packing slip in the box.

 

I got a return label sent to me, but not really any good instructions on returning. Can I just print it out on regular paper and tape it onto the return box? Can I just retape the box it came in? I don't really do many returns, so I'm not familiar with what's acceptable or not.

I had my name and return address on the package, in addition to the packing slip.

 

Yes just tape it to the box they used. Make sure to cover their original mailing label. Make sure the packing slip with your order number is inside.

I just got off the phone with one of their service agents, who argued and insisted "but you ordered White Shoes by Amelia Harris!"

He finally put me on hold, and came back with "You need to check the order page later. Someone will respond and tell you what your confusion is." I'm not quite sure what that means, but hopefully that means I'll be getting a return label. It's going back to them one way or another!

 

Message them on Discord through your order #. They will send you a label.

 

I already had messaged them through Discogs, but it was quicker to call them for a response. They did end up sending a return label.

 

I messaged them through Discogs and they sent me a return label but it is for USPS and I am in Canada. Messaged them back asking how to proceed. Anyone else is Canada dealt with this? Dennis Metz?

 

I haven’t heard back from them yet, but I expect the same.

 

I messaged them twice through Discogs, for two separate orders where they sent the wrong thing:

Emmylou Harris (box ordered, single LP sent)
Henry Cow: 5CD box ordered, 2CD set sent

They didn't reply, so I had to call them (866-767-1767) and they immediately offered to send a return address label.

 

Keep me posted guys, I'm in the same boat. Just received "White Shoes" single LP. Who said that:"Never again..."?

 

Return labels are Media Mail, which can't be collected from your home by USPS.

So because Pop Market couldn't take the few seconds necessary to check the item against the order, you have to use your own valuable time to wait in line at the Post Office, to fix their error.

 

Huh? I mail with printed Media Mail all the time. Mailman picks up just like any other item with postage.
