. ... small world . I was in contact with Aldo several times, especially regarding his WE(-based) DAC. Finally I decided to go for the simplest version and tapped the DAC of my tube CDP. I remember very well that a few years ago a guy from Europe sold his whole set-up built by Aldo for an amazingly low price ... unfortunately I wasn't quick enough. @Ampexed: thanks for sharing your ALTEC experience! ... Back on topic: I wonder if there are Audioplan listeners in use somewhere in the US? I would prefer the Kontrapunkt IIIs, which are ridiculously cheap on the used market, to the famous Rogers, Epos, Celestion ... which I have also tried. I always had a pair of Kontrapunkt, even my Audioplan Konzert II had to give way for them ... Sold them in the end because I have too much equipment, lack of space ... ... some old photos:
My kids love this entire album (with the exception of the opening track, which is not age appropriate) and especially Dune Buggy.
Guests have gone home, clean up is done, time for tunes. Rockin' the vintage system tonight: Kenwood and Dynaco.
Some fireplace action... Capping off a stressfull day with a crackling fire, my British folk rock playlist, and a little of papa's special medicine . Happy Thanksgiving!
Can you send an Amazon link to me of the headphone jack adapter you use with your Marantz 6007? I have several but they won't work and I get a very distorted sound when plugged in. What do I do wrong?
I'ld live in a shack with her. In fact, have. 10x12 cabin, Bethel AK, no water, no power, oil heater. Humped our water 1/4 mile. Crapped in a bucket and carried it the same distance and a truck would it pick up. Best of times.
@HairyWeimer I had it so bad about 20 years ago that b&o somehow took notice and sent one of their professional photographers over from Denmark to take some (well a lot of) photos for their annual catalogue. That was definitely an experience for me . Here are some photos from that catalogue (which I still treasure ):
