Great room and I salute you for having a Trio/Kenwood L-07D - a real 'holy grail' top-end beauty from (arguably) the golden age of turntables when the big CE companies were making amazing machines like this.
Incredibly dust free. How do you do it? I have dust on my stuff after a few days. Also what is that nice shelf your using?
I just moved it all into place, so everything had a good dusting before being put into place. The stand is the incredibly affordable Loon Peak Bailys. Bought from Wayfair for $176 shipped.
Wow...raising the bar with video tours. How about someone do a live web-cam...oh that might be a bit creepy.
There's a recent thread on Audiokarma asking for videos of one's system which this was made for. Thought posting here would egg on some others to do the same.
You're right. Japanese manufacturers were making Statement decks in the late '70s/early '80s, most of which never got to the UK: thankfully the Trio did. The one I'd love to get my hands on is the Pioneer Exclusive P3a: there are a couple on here, and I love seeing photos of them.
As Rod says "Every Picture Tells a Story," however, your video triggered a large # of stories for me.
Amen to that. The Pioneer Exclusive P3/P3a is a real beauty, too. In addition to this and your L-07D, I suppose the Yamaha GT-2000/L/X and Sony PS-X9 are the kings of vintage turntables: amazing machines I know they're not in the same league, but I currently have a bit of a fascination for the Sony Biotracer machines, specifically the PS-X75 & PS-X700. I like to think that at some point in the future with more money/room, I could own at least one of the "Kings"
My brother just got his paper machine. He said "man your either gonna think it's cool or hate it". I think it's cool
@timind may recognize the above TT, thanks again. Inducted my brother with this one, put an Ortifon red on this ole Lab 300 and she sounds great at this point.
I'm pretty surprised at how good it sounds. Speed is good Ortifon Red seems to be an ideal match. Set him up with BA CR6's and Parasound DR 25. He's happy!
