Modern setting for our listening sessions, living room is 45 m². Either focused listening around 4 meters back from speakers or streaming/discovering new music while cooking, lying in the sofa....Happy times!

My music room, basically a separate part of the attic. I rarely use the screen and projector, mainly listen to music (CD and streaming). Epos Elan 30 speakers have been replaced with the new Harbeth 30.1. Is great

It’s ca 2 metres between the speakers and the back wall. Ca 1 metre between the sofa and the record shelves.

Ok and how far are the speakers out in front of that white thing between the 2 speakers?

Things are tight where I live, but I was always told that the more empty space you have around the speakers, the better.

Can the white thing between the speakers be pushed back so that that is further away from the speakers?

The white CD storage units are really really close to the speakers. If I could only find another space for all the boxes of records hidden behind the white units I could move it all back... :)

Yeah, I think that would help things. Or maybe the speakers could move forward?

Sounds like time to get a larger, more powerful sub. That way, they will at least hear part of the music.

I ended 2019 with the arrival of an Anthem STR power amplifier that replaced the Pardo I80a integrated amplifier. It almost broke my back moving it out of the box and hoisting it from the floor to the shelf but it was worth the effort. I managed to somehow unbend my back, step behind the sofa and take a quick picture showing how everything is looking right now before the new speakers arrive sometime next week.

Holiday guests are now all gone and things are returning to normal. I am excited to get started on a full room treatment in the next weeks, but for now things are sounding better and better with each little upgrade over the last months. I am excited to hear what the room treatment brings as it is long overdue.
