Love the Turkish lamp atop.I have a blue/white shade one in my bedroom

 

Picked it up about a year ago on a little road trip to Shizuoka. Cool little shop full of Turkish imports. I would have like to have bought some more. A bigger lamp or two would have been nice, but the prices -- hugely over-priced for what they are IMO. Still, very pretty.

 

It’s only been a couple of days and I’ve already noticed the void. Sitting in the sweet spot with a glass of something nice is an integral part of my evening unwinding routine. I’m probably looking at early to mid-March before I’ve got things set up again. Moving is the worst.

 

Dude! Me too! It's like my meditation time. This sucks...

 

The Denon DL-S1 is 0.15mV.....I've not configured it for 80db but I think I read it in the manual or the Creek Web Page. The MC side is excellent. No noise or hum. If you've never used the MC side just know its descete from the MM side. It's very good at what it does. Let it run in if never used on that side...once it settles in you should love it.

 

My new record shelf is done. My goal was a shelf that I can easily browse through. It can store around 550-600 records (the shelf + trays).

 

Are those lamps on goosenecks or are you in the process of being probed by War of the Worlds alien invaders coming in through the window?

I had the CLS's with a pair of Velodyne 10''subs behind firing through them, that was in the early 90's.

Thanks, but...don't know about that. It might be getting there. Lotta things yet to do ... I'm going to get the speakers recapped and I'd sure like an outboard, tubed phono stage like a Manley Chinook or something (currently run the phono outs through a step-up into the phono stage in the preamp)...would like a speed controller, would like a second arm tube for a mono cart...I might be able to get it to 'awesome' this year. The speaker recap is going to take some doing and, like everything, a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Maybe I should head down to the lottery ticket place. I've just had my かんれき and this is a mouse year and I was born in a mouse year, so...according to tradition this is supposed to be my lucky year. And it starts off with a corona virus epidemic. Oh well.
