Moved since January. Finally been able to get all my records out. Moved from a small student studio to a normal apartment (waitinglist for housing here in Amsterdam is around 16 years!). Next on the upgrade list, speakers!
Those Falcons always sounded great. First heard one in '77, never forget it. Yours looks an original too! nice
No I’m just a hobbyist..chasing the pot of gold at the end of the audio rainbow... Slightly different sound ,but still very pleasing..they prefer high current SS amps driving them. vS the horns that love to be driven with tubes...
She just moved in and hasn't finished setting everything up yet. She had been using computer and small speakers to play the turntable but is seeking recommendations for speakers / amplification. The main thing I wanted to share is yet another young person getting into vinyl as their source for music. I find this very cool.
I have a Scott Cassin console as well. He does a good job and, importantly, is open to any sort of reasonable changes/customization.
I'm trying to find the photo I posted here of my listening space. Is there any way to search for it? I may have been in part 14. Thanks
I know you’re a house fan of the c7s and still assessing the shl5s... curious if you’ve ever heard the 40.2s for comparisons of the these Harbeth models?
Hey that looks like a Thorens, possibly a TD145 (like mine)? Nice to see one in a vinyl lover's system. I want to have mine refurbished, there's a guy here in the US that specializes in restoring them.
