I finally got the chance to post photos of my safe space while listening to the fantastic new Acoustic Sounds Coltrane “Ballads”. Seen pictured is that LP, AS Getz Gilberto and Speakers Corner “A Love Supreme”.
I’m watching it closely! It does get warm but there’s a decent amount of room around and above the amp, and that top shelf actually folds up on both side so there’s a gap through the middle where a lot of heat escapes. It gets warm but so far no issues...
Once I bought these I stopped looking at other speakers. Nothing is going to change in that system for a long time
I'm retiring in the next few months so no more upgrades for that system. But I sure would like to hear a set of those V's !!!
Oh man, you and I share some tastes... Grant Green's "Slick", the Phish '95 MSG NYE, Sunshine Daydream, the Night Tripper - I have all of these on vinyl and they're some of my very favorites. You're a BREWMASTER?!?!?
I don't think I ever posted a pic of my entire rig. Here's the current lineup: Though I'm currently running KT88s in the power amp. So this pic isn't entirely up to date...
My ATC EL 150 Active system with the dedicated P6 amplifier. Signed by the designer Bill Woodman with a lifetime guarantee. I only listen to digital sources. Currently using a Lindemann DSD 20 DAC which is directly connected to the P6. Stay safe everyone.
couldn’t agree more - saving up for some Wharfedale Lintons in the next year or so; not going to invest any money in these ones.
I’ve been rolling with a 35w primaluna dialogue 2 and the c7s for ten years. I also own p3s, which I don’t like with tubes, but I find the c7s don’t need as much power to shine. Fwiw, I’ve tried out a few other amps, but I always come back to the tubes with the C7s.
