Good question, I'll let you know next week I've been slowly grabbing the CSCS's over the last few years...
I wouldn't think so. If they went through the trouble of adding the EQ to Secret Messages I'm thinking they hit this one as well.
Cool. So is it safe to say that with the exception of Secret Messages, the CSCS series matches the DP series in mastering?
Good question: Out of The Blue CS matches the 42DP Time, I think the CS was it's first issue in Japan. Face The Music, not sure on that one. The CS uses the edit of Fire on High as does the US JVC. Eldorado, thinking the DP matches the CS.--> which is near identical to the early US manufactures Balance of Power saw it's Japan Debut on the CS series as well. I've only been able to track down 6 over the years. The others have been either impossible to locate or way out of my price range
Oops, incorrect on Balance, 86 it would make sense it would have a DP manufacture Some of these CS's, oddly are pretty rare @princesskiki can probably shed more info on these. She's an ELO genius when it comes to these early puppies
Depeche Mode-A Broken Frame Vogue MPO France #03 Barcode-0 743211 250221 Tag-Table of Contents PE may be limited to only French manufactures as I haven't run across any others that do.
The Jive/RCA made in US is on the list, but this should probably be added. I've just confirmed a copy. A Flock of Seagulls - S/T - Jive/Arista JRCD 8011 - Made in Japan
Thanks Steve, knew there had to be a mother, on which side of the world I didn't know. Odd a later IFPI US would use the Japan as I think there are non PE US manufactures of this album.
new items I just received, which have PE, both in subcode only: Graciela Susana - Adoro/La Reine De Saba cat/no CA35-1004 1973 album, this release is from early 1983 (according to cat/no, - since 1001 and 1002 were still released in 1982), different artwork used than on all other editions of same title what I have is most likely second pressing from late '83 or from '84, with stamped Toshiba plant font (like that found on first DSOTM CD pressings), matrix is CA35-1004-11 1A1 according to a picture I found online, there also was CBS/Sony pressing of this title with crude font and earliest hub text, which means that is obviously an earlier pressing than what I have. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- George Yanagi & Rainy Wood - Woman And I... (Old Fashioned Love Songs) cat/no 35XL-34 1980 album, release date not given on CD but most likely 1984 matrix 35XL-34 11A2, hub: 3x CSR COMPACT DISC
I was wondering if anyone could confirm if the Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (1986 France NELCD 6017 Castle) cd has the pre-emphasis code in the TOC? I really don't want to go through the 50 pages of this thread...
Apparently according Hans, J.A.W., all Castle NELCD and CLACD Black Sabbath pressings have pre-emphasis.
Yes, that I have surmised already. I was just wondering if the pre-emhasis info was in the TOC of the SBS album?
What year were these manufactured, late weren't they? My guess if that's the case table of contents as I don't think PE was passed on from earlier releases.
I only have the UK Castle Communications CD (CLACD 201), but that one has pre-emphasis flags in the TOC.
I don't think we know exactly. Barcodes are on my Japan for UK NELCD pressings so I'm only speculating 1986 - 87 for them.
some new additions: Akina Nakamori - Fantasy (1983) 35XL-1 matrix 35XL-1 11A2, on hub 3x CSR COMPACT DISC flagged in subcode only Momoe Yamaguchi - 33 Singles (1983) 60DH51~2 (double CD; this what I have is probably repress from few years later) CD1 matrix: 60DH-51 11A9 +++++ flagged in subcode only ----------------------------------------------- CD2 matrix: 60DH-52 21 +++++ flagged in TOC on hubs of both CDs: C S R
Recently acquired 2 CDs that have pre-emphasis which already appear on the master list here tagged as SUBQ, but in both cases my CDs have the pre-emphasis in TOC not SUBQ. Since CD-Ripper (from dbPoweramp) detected the pre-emphasis on both CDs and it's confirmed that CD-Ripper can only detect TOC, I thought I would post these because they are different than what's already in the list for these titles. I'm new to this so if I am missing something here, please correct me. Michael Jackson Off The Wall - I think this is a Japanese pressing Lionel Ritchie self-titled
I re-checked the same version of Off the Wall (32-8P) and dBpoweramp caught it in the TOC. I think I was the one who said sub-channel. :: Not sure what happened. I re-checked Lionel Richie too, but my disc is the silver center W. German. dBpoweramp still does not catch it, so maybe the US disc was authored differently.
