Problems Playing The Simpsons Movie Blu-ray

I pulled this disc out the other day and it refused to play on any of my Blu-ray players. When I bought it years ago it played fine. I get a message stating unknown disc.
I decided to buy another copy and it exhibits playback issues half way through the film.
I haven't seen this problem crop up with any of my other discs and I have quite a large collection.
Is there anybody else finding issues with 20th Century Fox discs?

 

I tried 2 different copies and no luck.

 

I have this on DVD and just upgraded to Blu two weeks ago when Amazon had it for $3.49 or some ridiculous price. Zero playback issues with the disc. My issues tend to me more Disney discs, the older ones take forever to load up.

 

You probably did this, but is your Blu-ray player firmware up to date?

 

Does the disc by any chance have the BD-Live feature? If so, your player is probably trying to connect to the Internet for those stupid streaming trailers. Disconnect from the internet and try to boot up the disc again.
(This all hinges on the inclusion of BD-Live, of course.)

 

In response to your suggestions:
Firmware is up to date - I tried 5 different players including my PC.
BD-Live is disabled and caches cleared (Oppo).
The discs look perfect; that's why this problem is so vexing.

 

I have one blu ray disc that will only play if I have a memory stick plugged into the back usb port. Starship Troopers.
