Tarantino needs a new box set, 4K would be ideal.

Fat chance of a KILL Bill III now with Uma Thurman.

Honestly the idea to keep going isn't really necessary anyway.

The story was perfect as is. This Vernita Green daughter thing was stupid.

I always considered Kill Bill one movie and it didn't need a sequel.

“Pulp Fiction” for me. There’s nothing like it.
Plus, casting John Travolta as a 40 year old Vinnie Bobarino turned gangster was flippin’ brilliant.Resurrected his career IIRC.

Agree. Resurrection shuffle indeed, the dance routine in particular with Uma is iconic. Though ironically Quentin never got him in any of his subsequent films. Much to Travolta's regret I would imagine.

There are probably 2 things that Travolta can still do on pure instinct: dance & portray Vinnie Bobarino.
    Tarantino exploited those beautifully.

  7. Another vote for Jackie Brown, which I just love -- and is my clear favorite. Pulp Fiction is arguably his "best" though (I suppose).

I've only seen barely half of his films (maybe closer to 1/3rd), so I'm no expert (nor huge QT fan) -- but he's clearly talented, and found his calling.

    Found his calling?
Years of working in video stores paid off. He owes a lot to Harvey Keitel.

Bottle Rocket is my favorite Anderson film too. I wish both struggled with success a little more.

The obvious choice is Pulp Fiction.

I liked Jackie Brown a lot, too.

Well in Tarantino's case I think he peaked with KillBills.

I remember an interveiw where Travolta was first considered for From Dusk Till Dawn (I guess script in early stage?) but asked Tarantino if he had anything else since he wasn't into vampires/dead stuff. So he showed him script for PF instead.

Travolta also said that upon meeting Tarantino that QT insisted that they play his Welcome Back Kotter board game with him.

This was straight out of Travolta's mouth.

And it was QT who choreographed Uma's dancing style, inspiration from the Siamese cats song in the Lady And Tramp, stroke of genius I say.

One of just a handful of films I that went in with high expectations and came out overwhelmed, I knew he'd go out with a *bang*. The depth in the dialog is tremendous!

Yes. Subtle and very stagey( coach), theatrical even, with a tremendous ensemble cast. Odd for western, nobody rode a horse in it.

I'd pick Dogs as the best.

The man himself is such a briiliant but highly flawed director that doesn't play to his strengths. He is pretty much unparrelled in the tension stakes (Dogs, the first scene of Bastards, the gimp sequence in Pulp) and then he goes and blows it all away with stupid pop culture references (that are now starting to reference his own previous work) and putting himself in the film itself to "act"

Pulp Fiction would probably be his best, but the last quarter is so weak with him starring in it.

Love his films. Pulp Fiction is my favorite with Jackie Brown second. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood looks like it could be a good one too.
