I have a rather large music library. I am out of ideas for new music I haven't heard yet. I am on a '70s rock/pop kick. Name some deep cuts I should listen to. I think the last thing I bought was "Thunder Island" by Jay Ferguson because I heard it on Family Guy. I'm out of ideas. Got any recommendations?

Here's one to check out...the first solo album by Shigeru Suzuki (guitar player in the legendary Japanese band 'Happy End'). Recorded in San Francisco, with players from Little Feat, Sly and the Family Stone, and other heavy-hitters.

Also, if you haven't already, you NEED to check out the radio/podcast show "The Many Moods of Ben Vaughn." I've discovered tons of cool stuff from that show, which features mostly somewhat obscure '60s and '70s rock/pop/r'n'b tracks.

Klaatu their self titled first album has some cool songs that feature the mellotron for that Beatles sound.

Not sure what you have so I will say Steely Dan Can't Buy a Thrill. Mahavishnu Orchestra Inner Mounting Flame. Jeff Beck Blow buyBlow. Allman Brothers Eat a Peach. Return to Forever Where Have I known You Before. Now if you really want to go down a road of deep stuff many have not heard of Kaptain Kopter and the Twirly Birds. Elf self titled. Mark Almond Live. Climax Blus Band FM. Tim Wiesberg's Live, it is really great with using an old Echoplex with his flute. I like Atomic Rosster IV but most don't. That should get you started.

Ambrosia - Time Waits for No One. This has a definite Alan Parsons (who produced it) vibe to it.
